The Tuscany region

Florence is known all over the world for its famous Monuments and Museums: Ponte Vecchio (The Old Bridge), The Uffizi, the Accademia, Palazzo Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti with the Boboli Garden. Originally built by Romans, Florence flourished during the Middleage and Renaissance period, and gave birth to famous writers and artists like Dante, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci. Florence's history is bounded to the history of the Medici Family, that ruled the town and that left their beautiful heritage to its citizens.

Recently rediscovered by worldwide tourists for being the stage for Roberto Benigni's movie “Life id Beautiful”, Arezzo was originally built by the Etruscans, and became politically important as a Ghibelline opponent to the Guelph Florence. A wealthy city, Arezzo is famous for the production of Gold and Silver Jewellery, a fine craftmanship that dates back to the Etruscans. Every year, the Festival of the Saracen Joust takes place in September, and features colourful costumes, parades and traditional games like the knights' tournament.

Here are some of the Things to See in the surroundings of Country Farm Podere Casalino in Florence: Vallombrosa

The Vallombrosa Benedictine Abbey is located in the heart of the ancient Beech and Firs Forest, and was built in year 1038 by San Giovanni Gualberto, member of a noble family in Florence that founded the Vallombrosan Order of Monks. Surrounded by trees, this is a one of a kind building where the famous poet Milton stayed during his visit to Tuscany and Italy. In the neighbourhood area, there are other Romanesque Churches that are definetly worth a visit, such as the Pieve (Parish Church) of Saint Agata, Pitiana and Cascia, hosting some paintings made by Masaccio in the 1400's.

The Mall, Leccio:

Located at few kilometers from Agriturismo Podere Casalino Farmhouse, Shopping addicts can find one of the largest Shopping Outlets in Florence, The Mall. The Mall hosts shops of several Designer Brands, like Roberto Cavalli, Sergio Rossi, Bottega Veneta, Armani and many others, both for Apparel and Accessories like Shoes and Leather Bags. Collections are renewed on a regular basis, and visitors can find a great selection of product at very competitive prices.
