The East Anglia / Norfolk region
Picturesque clusters of stone cottages, rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways – East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers unspoilt beaches, saltmarshes, picturesque cliffs, and quaint flint villages. The pretty, popular resorts of Blakeney & Wells form part of the largest coastal nature reserve in England and Wales, where you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of common and grey seals, along with abundant birdlife. Families can enjoy the popular tourist resort of Great Yarmouth, enjoy the thrills and spills at Pleasurewood Hills theme park, or roam the cycle paths and sculpture trail at Thetford Forest (not forgetting the‘Go Ape’ high wire adventure centre in the heart of the forest). Cromer is well known for its pier and crabs, or how about Sheringham, from where you can ride on a steam train to the delightful town of Holt, with its specialist shops and charming market place? Equally as charming are the coastline and countryside of Suffolk. Historic sites such as Sutton Hoo and Framlington Castle sit alongside museums, high-wire adventure trails, beautiful gardens and bustling market towns, amidst lovely countryside with plentiful walking and cycle paths. The coastline of the area is popular with families, and the whole region has a very strong arts movement, with plenty of work by local artists on display and available to purchase.
The Reepham area
Situated amidst stunning countryside between the valleys of Bure and Wensum, the attractive and historic market town of Reepham is one of the most beautiful in East Anglia. With an attractive, 18th Century market building and beautiful red-brick Georgian constructions, this classic trading post continues to host a weekly market whilst the wide selection of shops sell local produce and hand-made furniture. The town is also packed with various inns, restaurants and tea shops. The twenty mile footpath ‘The Marriott’s Way’ can be found by Reepham's former railway station, which now serves as a museum and tea shop. This peaceful route through fields and woodland offers walkers and cyclists the chance to see some of the area’s beautiful scenery ‘off the beaten track’. Close by, the cathedral city of Norwich offers great shopping, historic town walls and excellent transport links to London.

,Centrally located for the area we
wished to visit, particularly the coastal area to the north. Quietly situated with interesting surroundings such as unspoilt villages and churches steeped in history.
