I don't like pet hair, and am actually allergic to some....and so it was a risk choosing to stay at a cottage which allowed pets but we had little choice due to renting at late notice. HOWEVER... ...we were extremely pleased with what we got, as the cottage was very homely, comfy, in a quiet setting, with a very understanding owner and terrific neighbours. There is a farm around the back which allowed us to have a tour (even saw a calf being born!) and of course the magnificent walks and views of the Lake District were within easy reach. We only really came in order to climb some mountains with the kids (10 & 8yrs)...but ended up with a truly relaxing and comfy holiday. We would definitely use this place again, and highly recommend it. |
Guestbook for 3 Sycamore Barn
"Thankyou for our recent stay at 3 Sycamore Barn in Deceember 2011. Even though the weather was a bit mixed, we were warm and comfortable staying at the barn. You have thought of everything and it was like a home from home. We have never stayed in the Eden Valley before and found it to be an undiscovered part of Cumbria. The Strickland Arms and Cafe at Morland are lovely and provide great food during the day. We are planning a return trip in May and will be in touch" - David, June Bennet plus Tess - Holmes Chapel Cheshire.
"We have now stayed at 3 Sycamore Barn quite a few times and each time we feel like it's a home from home. It is very well furnished, very comfortable, clean and the wood burner is excellent. We love the area as it is so near to lots of locations especially the Eastern Lake District., Were after a days hillwalking we can relax and cook food in the well furnished kitchen or go out to the Strickland Arms or the George and Dragon in Cliburn for nice locally prudced food. We will continue coming back" - William and Holly McLaren, Northumberland 2010
