The Emilia Romagna region

Emilia Romagna is a very productive region, both in the industrial, agricultural and cultural fields. You can thus find various very succulent dishes, delicious vines and interesting cultural events, expositions, concerts and sport matches even in the well organized beaches.

Ravenna

Ravenna is a beautiful small city not far from big pinewoods where Lord Byron used to walk with Countess Guiccioli, and a sandy coast which is very well organized to practice sport on the huge beaches and on the see.

Former capital of the Roman Empire during the Bizantine period is rich of historic monuments and unique mosaics which made her notorius all over the world.

The surroundings are rich of natural parks and natural oasis and by car is possible to reach in 10 min. Classe with its Basilica; in 20 minutes Milano Marittima with the Golf Club and its pinewoods, or Cervia with the ancient town of the salt making workers. Further south you can reach Cesenatico with its port designed by Leonardo da Vinci.

Rimini, Riccione, Cattolica and San Marino, the most ancient republic in the world are not far going south.

The Park of Mirabilandia with the rollercoaster is ten minutes from the center of Ravenna.

In any place in Ravenna or the surroundings you can find restaurants and choose between typical dishes of pasta, fish, meat or vegetables, with good vine.
