Terms and Conditions
§ 1Organizer
Check-In Portugal is a holiday home provider. Check-In Portugal also manages and guarantees the booking 
process, beginning with the inquiry, the booking, the arrivals and ending with the depature of our guests  CheckIn Portugal mediates between the owner (or their representative) of the holiday home and the  Guests. 
§ 2Booking and payment dates
The interstedreceives a reply with the availability of the desired period in less than 24h. Once the  interested 
wants to book the holiday home, a deposit of 30% is required and the desired period is confirmed. Bookings are 
only held for 48h until the deposit is paid. The deposit is valid after receiving the proof of payment. The Guestwill
then immediately receive the Voucher with all the booking details by e-mail. The balance is due  60 days before
arrival. Payments can be made by bank transfer or PayPal. The related information will be sent to the guest by 
§ 3Double bookings or impracticability of bookings
For various reasons and circumstances sometimes confirmed bookings are impracticable. The most common 
reasons are the following:
• Cancellation of the contract between the owner / representative of the holiday home and Check-In 
• Establishment of a lack of habitability of the holiday home
• Change of ownership of the holiday home
These situations occur, however, very rarely. Check-In Portugal can therefore not be held liable for this 
occurrence. To protect the Guestin advance, the following procedures are defined: 
• When such a situation is identified, Check-In Portugal informs the Guest/Voucher-holder up to 90 days 
before the planned arrival date. They can then choose between a full refund of the amount already paid 
or another available holiday home (subject to the published prices). 
• If such a situation occurs within 30to 90 days before arrival, the Guest/Voucher-holder is immediately 
informed and can choose between a full refund of the amount already paid or an alternate holiday home 
selected by Check-In Portugal. The criteria for selecting the alternate holiday home are: the alternate 
holiday home must be of equal or higher quality than the booked holiday home; if the price is higher than
that of the original booked holiday home, the price difference will be coveredby Check-In Portugal. 
• If such a situation occurs in less than 30 days before arrival, the voucher-holders will be immediately 
informed. Check-In Portugal will try, within 4 working days, to provide at least  2alternate holiday homes 
that are of equivalent or better quality than the already booked holiday home. The voucher holder must 
immediately inform Check-In Portugal in writing of his choice. If the price of the alternate holiday home, 
chosen by the customer is higher than that of the booked holiday home, the difference is coveredby 
Check-In Portugal. If none of the alternatives offered is suitable for the Guest/voucher-holder, the 
booking will be refunded in full plus a compensation of 15% of the total value of the booking, and the 
booking is cancelled. Check-In Portugal is not liable for any other damages or compensation. 
The criteria for the appreciation of whether a holiday home is equivalent or higher in value are the following:
• Location 
• Number of Rooms 
• Amenities (swimming pool, barbecue, air conditioning, etc.)
§ 4Cancellation
• Check-In Portugal guarantees full refund of the paid rent, less an administrative fee, if the Guest 
pretendsto cancel the booking more than 90 days before the arrival date. The administrative fee is 3% 
of the total booking. Any refund will be carried out by bank transfer within 48 hours after the cancellation 
confirmation is received along with relevant bank details for the transfer.
• Any cancellation, which will be announced in less than 90 days and more than 60 days prior to arrival 
are charged by the already paid values. 
• Cancellations 60 days prior to arrival, will not be refunded. In such cases 100€ of the booking value is 
This situation will be taken in consideration, if the booked week is replaced by other clients. It is up to Check-in 
Portugal, how much will be refunded to the guest.
§ 5Damage deposit
Each Guesthas to pay a damage deposit for the booked holiday home. The amount of the damage deposit 
depents on the peoperty (250€-500€).The deposit will be paid back on departure after inspection of the property.
The deposit is used as compensation for damages caused mainly wilfully and/or by negligence. If the value of 
the damage is greater than the damage deposit paid, Check-In Portugal is entitled to charge the difference 
during the stay or on departure. 
The damage deposit can be held in part or totally by Check-In Portugal if the customer does not leave the 
holiday home at the agreed departure time. 
§ 6 Occupancy
The number of people, specified on the voucher, refers to the booked number of persons. If a holiday home is 
used by a greater number of persons than the number specified on the voucher, Check-In Portugal has the right 
to ask for a compensation of € 20.00 per person per day and eventually invite the non-registered persons to 
leave the holiday home immediately. 
§ 7Arrivals and departures
On the day of arrival, the booked holiday home is available from 5:00 pm onwards. On the day of departure the 
holiday home has to be vacated before 10:00 am. Changes of arrival and departure time can be arranged in 
advance. This, however, generally requires the holiday home be available. 
In the high season it is possible that the preparation of the holiday home may be delayed up to 90 minutes. If this
situation occurs, the guesthas no right to any compensation, discount or reduction of the rental price. 
§ 8Cleaning
The cleaning service, for each property cannot be fixed in time. These services are performed mainly on 
weekdays between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm. Exceptions are determined by the availability of the staff and the 
associated logistics. A rejection of the cleaning service, or the denial of access to relevant staff, has the 
consequence that the Guestloses the right to this service. 
§ 9Other Services
Some properties require different types of permanent or occasional interventions for a proper maintenance, 
which depend on the infrastructure of the related holiday home. Check-In Portugal regulates and guarantees the 
good habitability of the properties, the maintenance of the garden, swimming pool cleaning and other 
contributions to the comfort of the guest. 
Occasionally, there is a need of a variety of interventions to repair or replace the existing facilities. A rejection of 
this type of maintenance or the denial of access of relevant staff has the consequence that the  Guestloses the 
right during his stay to the aforementioned services. 
Check-In Portugal reserves the right to intervene in any emergency situation, without the consent of the owner or
the Guest, to avoid any bigger harm.
