• Security deposit We take a security deposit of $400 upfront by credit/debit card or through PayPal, against damage, which is refunded following departure. ALL PRICES ARE QUOTED IN US DOLLARS, however, we also accept payment in UK pounds and so please ask if you would prefer a quote in UK pounds. • Florida Sales Tax We are legally required to pay Florida sales tax, which is charged in addition, at a rate of 7% of the rental price. Some properties available on-line do not charge this tax. That means the owner is not legally registered to offer short term rentals in Florida and it may also be the case that short term rentals are not allowed in their building. We think 7% seems a small amount to pay to be sure you are not witnesses in a tax avoidance investigation at some point during your holiday or in the future!
