Annie's Cottage is a chocolate box style characterful one bedroom cottage, with many original features, which is able to accommodate up to 4 guests.

The sitting room oozes character with 3 foot thick deep set windows, an inglenook fireplace and original bakers oven and beams The settee in this characterful room converts into a double sofa bed, allowing for additional guests.

The historic flint wall in the very well equipped kitchen give this lovely cottage even more charm.

The bathroom is on the ground floor between the downstairs sitting room (with the sofa bed) and the upstairs bedroom, which is perfect when more than one couple are sharing, so that no one is disturbed if anyone needs to use it at night! The bath is lovely for relaxing in, but the shower which is over the bath is very refreshing if you don't want to spend so much time.

The first floor bedroom is quirky and romantic, with sloping ceilings and bay windows. The comfortable king size zip link bed and large walk in wardrobe, gives this characterful and spacious bedroom a feel of luxury.

The lovely outside seating area is perfect for alfresco dining, or just unwinding after an exciting day out. And guaranteed parking outside the cottage adds to the pleasure and ease of staying in this unique cottage.

And at Christmas we even decorate the cottage before you arrive with lovely Christmas decorations, some even home made, to help you enjoy that lovely Christmassy feel.

Located on the edge of the village of Manston, Annie's Cottage is centrally located on the Isle of Thanet which is surround by coast. This sunny south eastern part of the English coast, is known for its lovely sandy beaches and historic coastal villages. It's a perfect place for a relaxing sea side holiday, or an energetic sporting one whichever you prefer. It's also perfectly located for a day trip to London or France, or if you prefer to shop or explore closer to home, the historic cities of Canterbury, Dover and Folkestone are only a 30 to 45 minute drive away. This part of the Kent coast is guaranteed to suit all tastes.

In addition to Annie's Cottage, we also have another one bedroom cottage called Well Cottage which is also able to sleep up to 4 adults, and also a very large 3 bedroom property next to Annie's Cottage called The Chapel which can accommodate up to 10 adults. Why not consider hiring all three properties and having a large family holiday, something you'll always remember.

The South East England region

The village of Manston is situated at the edge of the town of Ramsgate in Kent. It is centrally located on the Isle of Thanet which is surround by coast. This part of the Kent coast is frequently sunny and seems to have its own weather system. Known for its lovely sandy beaches and historic coastal villages, Thanet is the perfect place for a relaxing sea side holiday, or an energetic sporting one, whichever you prefer, from windsurfing and kyaking to playing on the sea in a jet ski.

It's also perfectly located for a day trip to London or France, or if you prefer to shop or explore closer to home, the historic cities of Canterbury, Dover and Folkestone are only a 30 to 45 minute drive away. And the lovely historic village of Sandwich - know for the Golf Open which is held there every 4 years, has lovely cobbled streets and pretty old fashioned shops which seem to have come out of the last century is definitely worth a visit. And the village of Wingham many parts of which date back to the 13th Century, is also worth a seeing, with its lovely old fashioned pubs, hat shops, art galleries and cafes and churches, you could spend all day there and not have seen it all. There are so many historic towns and villages only a short drive from Thanet, you will have to come back again and again to see them all.

There are lots of free events during the year in Thanet, from Dickens Week in July and Folk Week in August both in Broadstairs, to international volley ball tournaments on the beach at Margate, just to mention a few. You can see exactly what's going on locally when you go to the Visit Thanet website. And for something quite spectacular you can even watch the Red Arrows do their air display at Margate from almost anywhere in Thanet, and if you don't see them you can certainly hear them! And you can take a closer look at the planes when they park them at Manston Airport, where they frequently practice before the event. Why not come and see for yourself.

"A Cottage Holiday Experience in Kent"

We had a wonderful, restful and fascinating 8-day stay in this 'Hobbit'-style cottage: all amenities and comforts were catered for by the very welcoming hosts, especially Suzanne who prides herself in making her guests feel very welcome and at home. The weather was perfect; and the surrounding historical Kentish area & towns(Canterbury,Broadstairs, Sandwich,Ramsgate and the village of Manston itself)were all the more beautiful! Well worth the journey from Belgium: excellent value and optimal satifscation all round for us.
