Home description

The ground floor sitting room is a lovely light and sunny room with seating grouped around the TV, DVD and Video with an archway leading into the dining room. This seats 10 at a table that converts into a pool table between meals!

The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, two fridges and a range cooker with electric oven and five gas burners. A step down leads to the back door and a shower room with shower, WC and wash hand basin and there is a separate utility cupboard housing the washing machine and dryer.

Stairs lead to the first half landing, with the first of four double bedrooms. This room has double bed, fitted cupboard with basin. There is a separate cloakroom on this floor.

Up the stairs again to the first floor where there is a second double room with twin beds that can be set up as a double, fitted cupboards and basin. Please specify at the time of booking if you wish it to be made as a double. On this floor at the front of the house is the spacious and welcoming main sitting room with large sofas grouped around the fireplace, in addition there is a TV, DVD, video and stereo and one of the sofas makes into a double bed. A door leads from this room onto a sunny balcony with partial views towards the sea.

Stairs from the first floor lead to the second half landing with bathroom comprising, bath with hand held shower, walk in shower, wash hand basin and WC. Going up again to the second floor there is the main bedroom – a lovely spacious room to the front of the house with spacious fitted cupboards to one wall and a large king size bed. Also on this floor is the fourth double bedroom with twin beds and fitted cupboards.

Kent is known as the Garden of England in recognition of its attractive countryside and wealth of historic houses and gardens
Shopping facilities in Kent are plentiful with regular food and craft markets held in many of the towns and villages. There are extensive shopping centres in Bromley, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells and Bluewater ( Europe's largest indoor shopping mall) and the world famous West End of London is easily accessible.
Kent offers superb opportunities for walking and cycling in delightful surroundings, including the North Downs and the High Weald. Knole Park, a magnificent 1000 acre deer park and home to the 16th century Knole House, can be found in Sevenoaks. Other sites of interest in Kent include Hever Castle, childhood home of Anne Boleyn; Leeds Castle, "The Loveliest Castle in the World", and historic Canterbury Cathedral.


Ramsgate area

Ramsgate is a truly English seaside resort with its elegant Georgian terraces, ice cream parlours and fish and chip shops. The modern yacht marina adds a dash of nautical colour and the sheltered sandy beach is ideal for a bucket and spade holiday and some of the beach is available to dogs, even in the summer time. In addition at the other end of the town, the new port facilities include trips to Belgium, sea fishing and water sports, making this an ideal destination for a weekend break. All the amenities of this historic town are within walking distance of the house.

For a change of scene, Broadstairs with its quaint windy streets, coffee shops and sailing club is within a mile. In addition there is a wonderful selection of medieval castles dotted all along the coast to explore and visit.

For the golfer there is a good range of links golf courses within easy reach including the championship courses of Sandwich and Deal, both of which are less than 10 miles away. Inland this part of Kent has much to offer with the cathedral city of Canterbury within 30 minutes. Albion Road is a quiet residential street close to the town itself and to the beach. The house is in good condition and with its spacious reception rooms and lovely outlook towards the sea it is a must for a bucket and spade holiday! The comfortably furnished rooms are ideal for family living or entertaining with the dining table converting into a pool table, and games, DVDs and videos there to entertain all.

A real feature of the house is the first floor sitting room with sunny south facing balcony with partial sea views. In the winter this room has a cosy coal effect fire and with its banks of sofas would be ideal for any gathering. All the bedrooms are spacious doubles and with two sitting rooms there is plenty of space for everyone.

The garden is a real oasis of calm and an ideal spot to while away those evenings by the barbeque.
