The property is ideally situated for ski resorts there are 5 resorts within 20mins by car the popular ski resort of Obertauren is only 30mins by car.A narrow gauge railway runs by the house which takes you to the ski resort of Kreischberg the train is free to skiers. The views from the property are outstanding. The cottage inside is very comfortable and inviting it offers storage heating also a wood burning stove that heats radiators down stairs and upstairs and the water system. There is a very well equipped kitchen.There is plenty of room for vehicle parking.
The village of Ramingstein is within walking distance and offers a coffee shop and restaurant facilities. The larger village of Tamsweg is 10mins by car and offers more facilities for eating/dining out, there are supermarkets in Tamsweg. For summer visitors there are a number of outdoor swimming pools available in the area also a number of the ski lifts are open in the summer for those who wish to do some alpine walking. Tamsweg offers an excellent Spa facility.

The house has been recently renovated both inside and out the kitchen and bathroom are new and the upstairs has been recently renovated and clad in Spruce. A summer room has been added and a complete new roof.

There is an large private grassed area to the right of the cottage there is a slide and swings for children to play.

When making a booking a deposit of 10% is required to secure.
A welcome pack is available giving details things to do or visit in the area the various ski resorts and restaurant facilities etc.
The Austrian Alps / Salzburgerland / Salzburgerland region
The ski season in the area starts at the end of November this is when the ski lifts open the snow usually begins end of October. During the summer the climate in the area is generally good with temperatures reaching around 30edg C.
The Ramingstein area
There are many places of interest in the area to visit, activities such as outdoor swimming pools,golf courses and fishing and horse riding are available close by. Alpine walking is very popular in the summer months. Kreischberg the ski area nearby held the world snow board championships there in 2009 and also the world Telemark skiing championships.

The property 1hour 15mins drive from Saltzburg airport.Leave the airport take directions to the A10 and head for Villach, exit the A10 at the St Michael exit, enter St Michael and take the signs for Murau/Tamsweg, the village of Ramingstein is approx 15 mins drive from St Michael. There are a number of budget airlines running from London airports and Manchester to Saltzburg such as Ryanair and Thomsonfly during the skiing season. Holiday Autos is an excellent car hire from Saltzburg airport.
