Bronte Elephants point" is a perfect holiday home for families and groups ideally located in a peaceful town. The 3-bedroom cottage with en-suite sleeps to 9 people enjoy all the comforts of home with a relaxed, holiday atmosphere. Ideally Located with easy walking/driving distances to restaurants, Swimming pool and all main attractions of the town such as Pinnawela Elephants Orphanage where you can see baby jumbos wondering around their cramped foster home or bottle fed and bathed by their human foster parents, A place you will really enjoy and never forget. There are some 60 or more elephant orphans who are accustomed to their curious human visitors are harmless. Millennium Foundation where you could ride on Elephants, feeding them and join in to give them a bath in the river are just some of the excellent attractions you can enjoy. Rambukkana / Pinnawela area
Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage has about 60 young abandoned or orphaned elephants who are trained for work but enjoy the passage around the sanctuary meanwhile like any nursery there is a fairly strict bathing and feeding routine. The nearby Millennium Elephant Foundation and Uda Walawe Park are slightly more natural venues. Kandy truly comes alive in late July/August for Esala Perahera, a 10 day festival and one of the most spectacular in all Asia.
How to get there
Transport can be arranged from airport to the location. Taxis and other rental vehicles are available at the air port. We are located in a small town near Pinnawela Elephants Orphanage about 3 km from Rambukkana junction on Colombo-Kandy (90km from Colombo) road. Travellers by bus from Colombo or Kandy could take the Rambukkana bus from Kegalle town.
