The Tuscany region

Podere La Fonte is situated in a most spectacular position just below the ancient castellated village of Radicondoli. It has magnificent uninterrupted views over the Cecina valley and the surrounding hills. At night you can see the lights of Volterra, San Gimignano, Colle Val D'Elsa and many other villages nestling in the hills all around you. Florence is one hour away and Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano just forty minutes by road. Lovely local walks and natural pools in the nearby river Cecina. There are swimming pools within easy reach and in an hour you can drive to and enjoy sandy beaches just like the ancient Etruscan people did. Your hosts Emanuela and Marco, who live two minutes walk away, look forward to welcoming you to their home. They will also give you every assistance to help you discover and understand the opportunities offered by the surrounding countryside and tourist attractionsTuscany is famous all over the world for its extraordinary combination of natural beauty and a vast cultural heritage consisting of an incredible number of art works, ranging from Etruscan times through to the Renaissance and Baroqueperiods and then to the 20th century. It is the marvellous discovery of these works in their natural setting and amid its people, that the entire world admires.

But Tuscany has many landscapes, many itineraries that are often unknown to the general public outside the classical tourist circuit. It is a land of mountains, hills and woods, but it also has the sea, islands, parks, protected areas, wine cellars and oil presses as well as castles, churches, history, traditions and many other things that those who come to visit us should see and experience.

Radicondoli

The village of Radicondoli is a perfectly preserved historic village with good restaurants, pizzerias and bars. There are shops selling local produce, a bakery for fresh bread each morningA Territory of Great Environmental, Naturalistic,
