The Linhay is a tasteful, luxury barn conversion (rated 4 star luxury by English Country Cottages) located in the middle of a beautiful, 250 year old, secluded, traditional Cornish farm within its own 150 acres. It is approached by a quarter of a mile of stunning private drive which sweeps between fields of horses. The farm has a wealth of treasures to explore; from bluebell woods to granite and slate ruins, from streams & valleys to spectacular hills with views over Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor (film location of "Warhorse"). This ancient farm lies within a 15 minutes drive of spectacular golden sand beaches, lakes and rivers for fishing, swimming and kayaking. Also close-by are acres of moorland where prehistoric monuments and tors can be explored. Modern amenities also abound; from the theatre, cinemas, restaurants and nightlife of Plymouth, to the local music pub scene or the many facilities on offer at St. Mellion International Golf & Country Club and Spa. The Cornwall region

S. E. Cornwall is placed within an easy drive of this region's stunning North & South coasts. Local beaches offer remote unspoilt nature walks & swimming, or busier surfing, fishing, kayaking, dingy, cool cafe/restaurant resorts. (Surf/kayak & dingy equipment is offered for hire on the day). Ancient smuggling & fishing villages, now home to artists & film makers, are also an exciting feature of this region. Many international film makers have chosen locations from this region (Most recently Steven Spielberg's "Warhorse"). Beautiful National Trust houses such as the Lost Gardens of Heligon, Cothele & Lanhydrock are nestled into the pretty Cornish countryside. International golf courses such as St. Mellion offer many extra family amenities. Plymouth with its historic Barbican, shops, cinemas & restaurants is also a great day out. Finally hundreds of hectares of moorland offer wild walks & prehistoric monuments and fireside pubs, including Daphne Du Maurier's "Jamaica Inn".

St. Mellion International Golf course & Country Club offering swimming pools, tennis and many family amenities is within a 15 min drive, Siblyback lake for many watersports is also within 15 mins, as are many river and lake fishing beauty spots and the south coast beaches offering either watersports or remote unspoilt wilderness. Stunning Calstock, an ancient mining and fishing village, is a twenty min drive away with river and woodland walks up to the National Trust's charming Cothele House, gardens cafe & restaurant. Plymouth offers everything from the ancient Barbican to Cuban dance cafe's, cool restaurants, cinema's and shopping. Bodmin Moor & Dartmoor (recent location of Spielberg's "Warhorse") offers wild walks, horse riding, prehistoric and ancient monuments and country fireside pubs. Port Eliot Literary festival and the Maker music festival are among many events which run in this part of Cornwall throughout the year.
