Mariola is situated off a palm -lined avenue, on the outskirts of the town of Quesada, only 3 minutes walk to the nearest shops restaurants and bars. There is easy access to all local amenities including 2 great golf courses and an aquapark within 10 mins drive.
There are several local markets nearby - just the place to buy your spanish bargains and fresh produce. A good choice of excellent restaurants for eating out or bring home some fresh local fish to cook on the BBQ in your own garden overlooking the pool. Guardamar's beaches are renowned, beautiful and far reaching only 6 minutes drive away for safe swimming and some water sports. Torrevieja town with its many shops promenade, port and fishing boats is only 15 minutes away. La Manga is about 45 minutes down the coast.
The house has its own garden and sun terrace and is set around beautiful community gardens and two pools- one especially for children. The plant clad terrace is perfect for lazy lunches or sunbathe on the balcony off the main double bedroom or BBQ in the garden. The second bedroom has twin beds and lovely views to the private community garden and pools.There is a family bathroom upstairs and a cloakroom downstairs.

English caretakers will meet and greet you and help you with any questions. They provide a welcome pack for your arrival.
There is a payment of 45 euros on arrival to the caretaker for cleaning and linen
There is a bottle of wine waiting for you on arrival from the owner.
Water and electricity are provided but if the air conditioning is used excessively there is a meter provided for the extra usage. It takes 1 and 2 euro coins. The owner provides 8 euros per week towards this.
A deposit of £100 per week to be paid directly into the owner's bank account ( details on request ) or sent by cheque on booking along with a booking form which will be sent to you. Euros can be accepted.
This deposit is non returnable if the holiday is cancelled.
There is also a security deposit of £100 which will be returned within 2 weeks of your departure, providing there is no damage to the house or broken contents. This should be paid along with the remaining rental fee 2 months prior to your departure.
If the booking is made within 2 months of your departure the full rental fee + security deposit must be paid immediately.
Please let the caretaker know of any breakage or damage as we rely on your honesty as this is also our home.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
This is a beautiful area with a great climate. Almost every day, wake up to bright cloudless skies with more than 300 sunny days a year. This area is situated on the edge of a natural park with many salt lakes which have a wonderful pink glow most days - great for bird watching. The lakes are very therapeutic making it one of the healthiest places to be in the world. The beaches are endless with safe swimming with lifeguards on some beaches in high season and surfing on the windier days.
The historic cities of Alicante, Cartagena and Elche are nearby.
The Quesada / Dona Pepa 2 area
There are beautiful beaches along this coast the nearest being Guardamar only 6 minutes drive away Its an endless stretch of blue flag beach with lifeguards in peak season. Great too for surfing.There is a large marina at the north end of Guardamar.
There are fishing villages up and down the coast where you can watch the catch coming in in the afternoons. Santa Pola being one. Torrevieja's interesting harbour has a submarine museum and promenade along the water front and beach where there are many restaurants and shops or shop out of town at the Habaneras centre, La Zenia or Carrefoure store 10 minutes from the house. The vibrant town of Alicante just 30 minutes away has many shops,restaurants,bars and a busy port.
The local markets are a must - open early till 2 pm usually. Browse along the stalls picking up spanish bargains and fresh produce. Why not bring home some fresh fish and sizzle on the BBQ in your own garden overlooking the pool.
There is a children's play area just across the road from the house and It is a great area for cycling as most of this area is flat. Bikes can be hired in Quesada near the Arches to the town.
The aquapark (open in the summer) is full of fun and just 5 minutes away. Horse riding is available nearby. Drive into the mountains and see some real spanish life. Stop at a local restaurant and try the 'Menu del dia' - (menu of the day). A three course home cooked meal for just a few euros.
There are 2 golf courses within a 10 minute drive, La Marquesa in Quesada and La Finca at Algorfa (where you can hire motorised buggies for your game). If you want to travel further afield drive south to La Manga to see what's on offer there. On your way you will see the Mar Menor, a large inland water bounded by La Manga peninsula with the mountains behind. The water is warm all year round due to its own micro-climate in this region. Excellent for water sports boating,swimming and diving.

We had a great holiday and lovely accomodation thanks to Catherine's apartment.
Everything was very clean, comfortable, well set out and was exactly as it appears in the advert.
The area is quiet and the pool is just outside the back gate which is so convenient. The pool area is very well kept and clean with an area for sunbathing.
A very short walk to the nearest supermarket and eating places.
If you like walking then it is only a 20 minute walk to the main centre of Quesada where there are many more bars, shops, banks etc.Walking is all on the flat , so no uphill which makes a nice stroll.
Ideal location for walking, and also near enough to the local facilities to enjoy a good evening out or a quiet evening with a drink on the patio.

stayed for 2 weeks in this house it was very clean and comfortable.
Aircondition was great as you need it at this time of year. Neighbours very friendly as of all the people staying in the mariola complex also the cleaning lady and her husband were very kind and helpfull. Enjoyed my stay here as it was very relaxing and was great just walking out to the pool which was not overcrowded and it was very handy for the centre of the town. Would highly recommened this house. Hopefully will return back ourself.

This apartment was fantastic, so clean and spacious and had everything in it you could possibly need, air con was great, pool just outside the back door, close to main town Quesada and other shops, bars and restaurants also. Recommend a car as there as so many great places to see around the area, would love to go back to this area. Plenty to see and do and the people are so friendly. The Ryan family, Ireland
