The sea is about 30 minutes away by boat. Bass, snook, red snapper, tuna, sailfish and marlin are just a few of the fish you can find, and reasonably priced guides are located in Sierpe village, less than 10 minutes from the house. Your guide can arrange for your catch to be freshly cooked at one of the local open-air restaurants overlooking the river.

Corcovado National Park, one of the most diverse biological corridors in the world, is just a boat ride away. Corcovado is known for its dolphin and whale populations. Cano Island, Drake's Bay and the Osa peninsula offer stunning snorkeling, diving, and swimming on pristine beaches, as well as guided nature walks for all ages and abilities. Panama is just an hour south on good roads. Sierpe town is not overpopulated with tourists and has retained a safe, friendly atmosphere not often found in the big resort towns.

Corcovado National Park, with its eco-tours, and Cano Island, with its stunning snorkeling,scuba diving and pristine beaches, are just a boat ride away.
For the avid fisherman, a rich catch awaits you where the river meets the Pacific Ocean! Sierpe town has several great open-air restaurants on the river where they will grill your catch of the day. Sierpe is a friendly, safe town which is not overrun by tourists, but has a wealth of ecotours and other attractions from which to choose. The mystic Costa Rican spheres from an ancient culture are here, and outings to waterfalls, mountains, and adventures are just a short drive away.
