Costa Rican jungle villa
Villa | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Charming, colorful, fully furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom modern villa located on riverfront property with private boat dock. This is Costa Rica at its most stunning and diverse, as it was 20 years ago, yet with all the features and comforts of home!
This is the place for an authentic Costa Rican adventure! Perfect for families, nature lovers, explorers and fishermen. See gorgeous wildlife from your front balcony and on trips along the river – scarlet macaws, toucans, spider and howler monkeys, sloths and other incredible species.
The sea is about 30 minutes away by boat. Bass, snook, red snapper, tuna, sailfish and marlin are just a few of the fish you can find, and reasonably priced guides are located in Sierpe village, less than 10 minutes from the house. Your guide can arrange for your catch to be freshly cooked at one of the local open-air restaurants overlooking the river.
Our property managers, Shani and Marc, have lived in the area for eight years and can ensure your visit is enjoyable and comfortable.
Corcovado National Park, one of the most diverse biological corridors in the world, is just a boat ride away. Corcovado is known for its dolphin and whale populations. Cano Island, Drake's Bay and the Osa peninsula offer stunning snorkeling, diving, and swimming on pristine beaches, as well as guided nature walks for all ages and abilities. Hikes at Corcovado, boat tours of the mangroves, river or sea fishing, dolphin and whale watching, and snorkeling at Cano Island can all be arranged locally. Sierpe Azul (email@example.com) also has some fabulous cultural tours of local tribes and visits to the mysterious ancient spheres found throughout the area, as well as environmental excursions. A special trip by horseback to visit hill families can be arranged by our house manager, Shani - people have told us that it was the most unforgettable part of their visit. If you would like to be involved in turtle conservation, Playa Tortuga (and a range of stunning beaches) are about a half hour-40 minutes away. We'll be happy to supply more information on any of these options, and you will find a packet of info at the house.
Sierpe town is not overpopulated with tourists and has retained a safe, friendly atmosphere not often found in the big resort towns.
