The area has a number of ski feilds for winter and golf courses etc. It where in 1863 gold was descovered and the gold rush began. The vineyards are outstanding and the local Pinot Nior are the best in the world...!

"Stunning location but property totally uncared for....."
We knew this spot was lovely, and from the outside the property is also, along with the space around it. Sadly it is not looked after and needs a serious spring clean! Cobwebs covered the outside and … More
Spring clean has taken place and yes there were a few cob webs high on the exposed beams that the cleaners missed we are sorry for this.
I am glad you like the property as an overall package.
Note : the cleaners were new but now get the message. Thankyou for your input as it has made them get their act together for our next guests.

"Awesome location, relaxing stay, fantastic house!"
The Stone House is a warm, clean, comfortable home in a wonderful location. During our stay the blossoms were out in full and the mountains wonderfully lit up by the sun both morning and night. There was plenty of room for the kids to spread their legs and to explore the surroundings safely. The house is located about halfway between Queenstown and Arrowtown which was really handy, with it being only a short drive to both these fantastic tourist oriented towns. Also managed to dine at the wineries nearby. Highly recommended for both international and local travellers!
Yes the sunsets on Coronet Peat are often amazing.
In winter the ski feild looks so close.
In summer the country side is very green with fully mature English trees.
Try it and I am sure you will love every minute.
