"Nice Apartment with Nice Location"

I traveled with my wife and a young boy for 7 nights. My elder son is studying in Newcastle University so he joined us as well. It is a nice apartment at nice location. 5 mints walk to main train stat… More

Thank you for your feedback. I did mistakenly thought the work has been carried out to replace the separate cold and hot taps to a mixer in April this year. One of it will be replaced today (16th Oct 2014) and the second a week later. I will also flag up the linen spots issue with the cleaners. The modern circuit breaker tripped while I was there because one of the halogen lightbulbs blown.. I noticed 2 of the bulbs weren't screwed in properly perhaps by the previous guest's kind attempt to replace it himself without bothering us but we'll still get it checked. Kind regards..

"A great find - perfect for short or long stays"

Kenny's a great person to be in touch with - easily contactable.
A nice, clean fifth floor apartment right near the central station - perfect for the city centre too. Very comfortable with a large television - brilliant. I recommend this apartment very highly.

"A good flat that could be great"

We were very comfortable here and appreciated the great location.

Unlike other Newcastle apartments we've stayed in, this one has two bedrooms, are two bedrooms, although the smaller of the two, which we used only to store suitcases, is not much bigger than the double bed it contains. But the main bedroom is a reasonable size with a good built-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room. With a second bathroom across the hallway we were able to indulge ourselves with a bathroom each! The kitchen area at one end of the living room has a dining table seating four people, and the flat sleeps four too, so it's a shame that there is only comfortable seating for two (three at a pinch). There's a big widescreen TV (but no DVD player unfortunately) and free wifi.

All the basics are in place for a comfortable stay, and we WERE comfortable here. But a little more thought, and just a few pounds spent on it, would make this a very good apartment rather than just a good one. For instance, the only mirrors are in the bathrooms, so it is impossible to use the thoughtfully-provided hairdryer. There are no towel rails in the bathrooms, so nowhere to put a wet towel. There are no bedside lights – you have to turn the light out by the bedroom door and make your way across the room in the near-dark. The kitchen has no wine glasses, only tumblers, so we had to toast my husband's birthday with red wine in the latter. There are no cosy cushions on the sofa. None of these things are essential, but we've had them in other apartments and missed them here - especially the wine glasses!

The other small downside is that the included free parking is in the multi-storey car park across the road rather than in the underground parking beneath the flats as we'd assumed it would be. It wasn't a lot of trouble for us to walk over there and back each time we wanted to go somewhere in the car, but anyone with walking difficulties who booked this flat might feel that the website should make this clearer.

Still, the location just five minutes from the Central Station is great for non-drivers, and all the points I've mentioned above are niggles rather than problems, so on the whole I can recommend this apartment and we would consider staying here again.

Just a bit too less cooking utensils in the kitchen room...
We were really surprised first moment come to the apartment!!!
