The Emilia Romagna region
In the hart of the busyiest part of Italy. Hot in summer, foggy in winter. Parma was the capital of the Duchy of the Farnese family amongst whose ancestors were Popes and cardinals. Reggio Emilia was instead part of the duchy of the Este family whose painting collection now hangs in the dresden collection. Dozens of castles spread out through the contryside . The region is famous for the parmisan cheese, the Parma ham, the lambrusco wine. Quttro Castella is a small village at the foot of the appenines. In front of it, the plain of the Po river extends itself all the way up to the Alps.

Quttro Castella is a small village at the foot of the appenines. In front of it, the plain of the Po river extends itself all the way up to the Alps. Parma is 30 minutes away where you can visit The Farnese XVII century wood theater the biggest wooden structure of it's kind still existing. The Parmigianino fresco's in Fontanellato castle are a jewel of Manerism painting. Sabbioneta is one of the two only ideal towns built in Italy in XVI century. Mantova and the Gonzaga palaces are one hour car away. In Spring and Autumn in Parma is held the biggest antique fair in Italy and one of the biggest in Europe. Reggio Emilia is instead 20 minutes away.
How to get there
Quattro Castella is just 30 min. South-East of Parma airport on interstate n°1 (Milano-Bologna) to Reggio Emilia . Exit: Sant' Ilario (6Km.). Then drive to Montecchio Emilia (6km). From Montecchio Emilia towards Bibbiano (&km). From Bibbiano towards Quattro Castella. Before Quattro Castella turn right in Via Vittorio Veneto at the local tyre dealer "Bini". After threehundred meters turn left in Via Ancona. Private road with gate. Cheap flights available from Ryanair from: London STN to Parma Car rentals available at Parma airport: www.hertz.it - www.maggiore.it Driving down to the South of Italy from Milano to Naples on the A1 autostrada: exit Parma then follow the SS1 interstate road direction Bologna and Reggio Emilia. Exit: Sant'Ilario. Car hire available at Parma airport: www.maggiore.it or www.hertz.it. You can also fly in to Bologna (one hour car drive East of QuattroCastella).

To secure booking, rental fee has to be paid at least six weeks before your arrival by bank transfer. All bank expenses excluded. In case of cancel advise arrived 50 days before arrival 50% of rental fee will be refunded. In case of cancellation within a month from arrival 25% of rental fee will be refunded. In case of cancellation within two weeks from arrival 10% of rental fee will be refunded. In case of other booking arrived for the same period from other customer all rental fee will be refunded excluding bank expenses. Refundable breakages deposit of Euro 100 required on arrival, to be refunded within day of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. Requested deposit at booking: 30% Full payment must be made 30 days prior to start date, or the contract will be resolved and deposit will not be given back. After the 30th day prior to start date the full payment will not be refunded in case of cancellation by the client; if we are able to book the same house for the same period, We can refund a sum between 10% and 30% of the rental price, if the client cancels the booking from the 30th to the 11th day prior to start date. In case of cancellation by the client from the 11th day prior to start date to the start date or in case of 'no show', nothing will be refunded. If balance, according to contract, can be paid at arrival, balance and caution must be paid cash and in euro currency at keys, to the owner or his/her representative, who are responsible of them. Failure to observe the above terms may lead the owner of the property or his/her representative to refuse access to the property , the contract will be resolved immediately and the deposit will not be given back. Cheque are not accepted.
