The property although not ideal, but is suitable for the elderly and infirm, as there are 2 bedrooms on the groundfloor, with a bathroom on the groundfloor, easy assess to the back garden and communal areas.
Although there are 2 steps on the garden path leading to the house, they are small and easy to manage.
Please note that if you require accommodation for more that 8 people, we have access to another House that can accommodate up to 8 people so that your party could be split across two house in the same development, depending on availability of the other house.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve region is located on the south coast of Portugal. It has all year round great weather, with the hottest months being June to September, it has been a popular holiday destination for many years. There are great golden sandy beaches many with water sports centres and seaside bars and restaurants. The Algarve also boasts some of the best golf courses in Europe.
WEATHER: +3,000hrs/yr sun (more than Costa Brava, California, French Riviera). Abundant flowers/vegetation, & sub tropical climate. April/May the countryside is green & lush with wild flowers, however, to see almond trees in blossom (known as Arabian snow), you should visit in January/February. Winter is one of the sunniest spots in Europe. Sea breezes are deceptive (masking fierce sun), don't forget skin protection, especially in summer, when temps can hit +90'sF.
The Quarteira / Fonte Santa area
Fonte Santa Village is between Vilamoura & Almancil and on the outskirts of Quarteira. It's set in a rural area, close to beaches and with everything within easy reach. It is excellent for sun, sea, sand, fishing, water sports, golf, horse riding, walking, and sightseeing. It is very close to some of the best golf courses in Europe. Fonte Santa boasts a natural spring which is said to have healing qualities. Villa Sol Spa and Golf resort with its 5 star facilities is within 5 mins from the house. A new Lidl supermarket has openned just oppersite the house in Fonte Santa Village for all your shopping needs.
QUARTEIRA is one of the Algarve's top resorts with clean safe bathing and long, sandy beaches running uninterrupted to Faro. Very popular with holidaymakers during summer and close to international standard golf courses. With the beach, the main attraction is a long promenade (Algarve's longest), bordered by palms and flowering hibiscus. In the evening, it is filled with an endless stream of families and couples inspecting restaurant menus (all feature freshly-caught fish direct from the local market, one of the best in the Algarve). Besides its 13th-century parish church, the Gypsy market (Weds.) is a major attraction. Restaurants/Bars are close to hand & there is a regular tourist land train that runs to Vilamoura.
VILAMOURA (an area rather than an actual town) is one of the largest single tourist complexes in Europe and covers some 2,000 hectares. Vilamoura has most forms of sport/entertainment, and a long sandy beach. Amongst the many attractions/facilities there are 5 different Golf Courses, a large Marina, a Lawn Bowling Club, a Tennis Centre, a Sports Club, a Shooting Club, Nightclubs, an International Casino, a Cinema, a private Airstrip and an excellent Riding School. There is a Roman Site & Museum giving a glimpse of the past. There are many different tourist activities available e.g. ballooning, bird watching, boat trips, coach trips, or excursions in a Safari Jeep to explore the local countryside. You can book great excursions from Vilamoura Marina, and for older visitors you can even book a wine tasting tour of Cliff Richards’s vineyard. There are many local and international restaurants, serving a variety of dishes ranging from the local peri peri chicken to Indian, Chinese and Italian specialties. The night-life offers a selection of bars, clubs and a superb international dinner with floor show at the Casino.
GOLF: The Algarve is a golfer's paradise boasting 25+ championship courses. Vila Sol is 5 mins away. 12 courses are within 10km distance & the 5 Vilamoura courses (Pinhal, Laguna, Old Course, Millennium & Victoria) are a 5/10 min drive, as are those at Val do Lobo & Quinta do Lago.

How to get there

From Faro International Airport to the house at Fonte Santa Village is less than 30 Minutes by car.
Faro airport is approximately 2h 30min flying time from the UK (Luton, Stansted, Gatwick or Heathrow).
Many budget airlines (www.easyjet.com, www.flymonarch.com, www.thomsonfly.com, www.britishairways.com, www.ryanair.com etc) fly to Faro all year round.
Similarly regular flights are available from Manchester, Bristol & Glasgow and many other European Airports.
There is a bus stop 100mtrs from the House and services run between Faro & Albufeira stopping at such destinations as Almancil, Quarteira & Vilamoura.
The major car hire (EuroCar, Hertz, Avis, Budget, etc) companies have, offices at Faro Airport opposite the Arrivals gate.

Thanks for a fantastic holiday!!!
House is very modern and spacious, with everything you would want. And
there's a pool out the back, essential for cooling down after a hot
day on the course :)
At the corner of the road is a restaurant which serves the best
chicken. Its a very local restaurant full of local people, so you know
its going to good. There's loads of other different restaurants
further down. Too many to try them all, you would need a month's
holiday to do that.
Don't miss out on the beach restaurants and cafes. Its 5mins to the
beach. Great for a late breakfast, or watching the sunset in the
The golf courses as everyone knows are the best. We mainly did Villa
Sol, but Val do Lobo and Quinta da Lago are just 15mins away, with
great sea views from some of the holes. House location is a good base
for them all.
All in all, I can't fault the place: good for the golf, and good for the family.
We will be rebooking.

The house is even better than the photos', really roomy and light and fitted out to a very high spec. All four bedrooms are good size with Aircon and there are two with en-suites. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor so easier for my Dad to get around. The pool table and table tennis were great for the kids and the big communal pool is right next to the house. There are loads of good restaurants locally and a really good local Chicken place 2 mins walk away. The beaches are within 5 mins drive and are superb, totally unspoilt. Vilamoura Marina is great for a night out with bars and restaurants around a posh Marina. We played golf a couple of times and without doubt its a golfer paradise with Quinta de Lago, and Vila Sol within 10 mins drive, and Vilamoura Old course also within 10 mins. We had a great day at the water park which is less than 5 mins drive away.. All in all, a great location and a great villa.
