The Island of Malta region
Malta is a popular holiday island just south of Sicily and consists of 3 islands. The weather here is favourable and relatively mild throughout the year. Getting around the islands is easy and possible by car from under 1 hour. Even travelling to nearby Sicily for a day is possible in 90 minutes.
Malta is a historic and exotic island with lots to offer, from old Village streets to modern upper market towns offering a wide range of entertainment, fun,historic attractions, peaceful surroundings, beaches, sun, sea and night-life. Malta is known to be a safe place to holiday for all walks of life, ideal for the romantic, family fun, friends or business traveller.
The Qormi area
The Location is between Qormi and Zebbug- central Malta- Easy to get to any other village on the Island. Qormi is a small urban town and not considered a tourist resort, however getting to any historic village or resort is easy and reached within less than 30 minutes. A Bus Stop is only 2 to 5 minutes away taking you straight to Valletta which then radiates to all other towns and villages. Marsa Sports and Golf club is also nearby. You may get to a beach if you like in about 30 minutes. Car hire is recommended for getting around with most convenience. All amenities can be reached within 5 to 15 minutes.
Historic lovers will find that the historical Old capital of Mdina built in the 15th century by the Arabs is a 10 to 15 minute drive away from Qormi and Zebbug whilst the beautiful capital city of Valletta is only 10 minutes away by car or by bus. In Neraby Attard, Presidents Palace is also reachable in a short drive and the only 18 hole golf course is a mere 10 minute drive away.
