About the home

This private farmhouse sleeps up to eight people with all the home comforts that you will need. The outside area has a barbecue for those relaxing days in by the 30ft x 12ft swimming pool which is surrounded by a stunning flowers. This is an ideal get away for friends sharing or perfect for the family holiday.

The beautiful stone walled bedrooms all have en suite shower rooms with one bathroom having a jacuzzi! The traditional stone kitchen is equipped with all the mod cons you will need. Television, DVD and internet connection for your time at home.

Conditions

Bookings:
* Booking must be made by persons aged 18 years or over.
* He/she must have the authority to accept and do accept bookings on behalf of their party the terms of these booking conditions.
* All correspondence and documents are sent to the contact person indicated who is also responsible to us for all payments in respect of the bookings.
* Changes in booking are to be forwarded the earliest possible and are subject to acceptance and/or availability.

Payments:
* 50% deposit of the total amount will be required to confirm the booking and is to be effected by not later then 7 days from the date of booking acceptance. Short notice bookings are normally accepted (if available), but may incur additional charges.
* Final payment of the remaining amount is to be settled upon arrival.
* Payments may be done through bank transfers or by cheques.
* Payments are to be effected by the agreed time. Late payments may incur the cancellation of the reservation without notice.

Additional Charges :
* Specific requirements and additional services are provided at an extra charge.
* Clients are requested to inform us during the booking process of any needs in order to comply to their requests in time.
* Last minute requests cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability.

Cancellations:
* Cancellation must be provided in writing by mail, fax or e-mail. Oral cancellation by phone may not be accepted. Should booking be cancelled, the 50% deposit and additional charges will be retained as cancellation fee.

Property Damage:
* Any damage to the property or chattels caused by guests will be charged to the person in charge or the guests/group.
* A security deposit or credit card imprint will be required on arrival.

The Island of Gozo region

Less than four miles north west of Malta the island of Gozo is only nine miles long and less than five miles at its widest point. Gozo is a world of it's own, a place to take a breath from the hectic world of today, a place to get in touch with another culture and different customs.

There is no other place where the people are more friendly than in Gozo. You will be immediately aware of the serene atmosphere of this beautiful island. Gozo has it all sun, sea, sand and history.

The Qala area

Go to Victoria to see the imposing Citadel. The Azure window and the inland sea cannot be missed. Feasts are on every weekend throughout the year in all of the villages.

The Gozitans are famous for their spectacular firework displays. Visit the prehistoric site in Xaghara, it is the only one of its kind in Europe. There is still a great tradition of lace making, knitting and filigree jewellery in Gozo but you have to visit Gozo glass in the craft centre at Dwejra to see just how truly detailed and beautiful the glass making here is.

There is a great nearby scuba diving school ask for Franco he is very friendly! There are many great restaurants in Gozo, try D Bar in Qala for a warm welcome, great fish and Twannys ravioli made by his mother!

“Construction site” I recently booked what I thought would be an enjoyable and relaxing vacation for my family in Gozo. Gozo is a spectacularly beautiful island and I would highly recommend others to visit. This being said, I whole heartedly recommend others NOT to book any property let from Raymond Buttigieg and Dolmen Garage. My dealings with Raymond began pleasantly enough. The photos on the website looked wonderful. Raymond assured me that the dates I requested were available. Fast forward to our arrival, everything seemed smooth enough. Our driver is there to pick us up from the airport and Raymond is there to take us from the ferry to the property. Although a little dirty, the house seems fine. However, it is unrecognizable from the photos because the property that I was led to believe I was booking was actually the one next door! A little false advertising I would say! But it is not for this reason that I am writing this negative review. And it is not because of the ant infestation or the slugs and cockroaches that we found in the kitchen. And it is not because Raymond decided two weeks after we had booked the place to relocate us for the last three days of our stay in order to make room for another family. It was because we were woken every single morning at 7:30am to heavy construction! When we complained, Raymond only said that he wasn't aware that this was going to happen and that the other renters never complained. He denied that there was any problem at all and was unwilling to do anything about it. As a direct result of Raymond Buttigieg and Dolmen Garage's dishonesty and poor handling of the situation, my family's vacation was a complete disaster. An added note: When we booked the property, rather than putting a 50% payment down to reserve the space, he requested that I pay cash when I arrive. My guess is that this was in order to avoid declaring the income.

“Loved the farmhouse” We've stayed in several farmhouses over the years and this definitely has to be one of our favourites. Raymond - the owner - met us at the ferry harbour and kindly guided us to our house and throughout the duration of our stay he was happy to help us with anything we needed. Qala is a lovely village with an amazing view and some nice restaurants and bars. Would highly recommend this place.
