This former farmhouse is a lovely holiday let. Families can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lovely countryside.

We are ideally located for Abersoch, Aberdaron, Criccieth, Llanbedrog, Nefyn, Pwllheli and Porthmadog and the stunning 84 mile Llyn Coastal Path. With numerous historic and scenic attractions close by including Snowdonia National Park, Ffestiniog Railway, Welsh Highland Railway, Caernarfon, Criccieth and Harlech Castles, and the Italianate village of Portmeirion there are plenty of activities to enjoy a holiday at any time of year.

Tanybryn has a farmhouse style kitchen with tiled floors, a rangemaster electric cooker, combination microwave, fridge/freezer, electric blender, toaster, kettle and dishwasher to make cooking a delight. The farmhouse table can easily seat

8-10. This is a fabulous kitchen for entertaining and relaxing. A separate utility / boot room has a washing machine and tumble dryer and plenty of space for wellingtons and coats. There is also a downstairs loo with washbasin.

The large sitting room with its terracotta tiled floor is furnished in pretty cottage style and has a wood burner with logs supplied free of charge. TV, DVD player, paintings and comfy sofas make it the ideal cosy place to relax after a day on the beach.

The master bedroom has a king size brass bed and looks out onto the rugged countryside and coast. It has a pretty en-suite bathroom with a shower fitted over the bath.

The second slightly smaller bedroom has zip and link beds, which can be made up into a king size bed or left as 2 single beds. Antique furnishings and a fabulous view over the garden to the coast makes this a very pretty room. The third bedroom has 2 full size bunk beds and again has stunning views to the ancient mountain of Garn Pentyrch.

There is an outside patio area with a circular picnic table that sits eight comfortably. The large garden is enclosed and has mountain and sea views. A recently planted herb knot garden is for the exclusive use of Tanybryn guests.

A charcoal barbecue is also supplied.

Electricity, central heating, bed linen and logs for the fire are included in the price.

Pets are welcome - provided dogs are kept on a lead.

A local produce hamper, with provisions for a full English breakfast for the duration of your stay is available for £25.

Home-made meals can also be sourced from our farm shop.

The house is available as of 4 pm on the Friday. We kindly ask guests to vacate by 10 am on the morning of departure.

The North Wales region

Plas Glasfryn is a beautiful mansion house situated in the Llyn Peninsula. For generations this has been the home of the Williams-Ellis family.

In 1994, Jonathan and Helen Williams-Ellis began to develop Glasfryn Activity Park, which is now one of Wales' best family attractions.

All five cottages are situated on the estate and each have their own private gardens tended by Tilly Jones, the gardener with a little help from her Scottie dog, Huxley.

We're great dog lovers here at Glasfryn and welcome guests who want to bring their pets with them on holiday.

All five Glasfryn cottages are situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The magnificent landscape of Snowdonia and the coastline of Cardigan Bay are easily accessible, so whether it's a day on the beach or a hike to a magical waterfall, the choice is yours.

The Llyn Peninsula is a wild landscape of unspoilt natural scenery, ringed by a stunning coastline. This is great walking country and in its entirety the Llyn Coastal Path is 146km or 84 miles long, extending from Caernarfon along the north Llyn coast to Uwchmynydd and then to Porthmadog. The scenery is varied: small coves and wide expanses of sand, rugged cliffs and ever changing seas.

From Glasfryn, the walk to the iron age hill fort of Tre'r Ceiri is less than a 10 minute drive away. Another enchanting spot is St Cybi's well, a healing well of immense charm and atmosphere.

Access is easy to the sandy beaches and rocky inlets of the Peninsula (again a 10 minute hop in the car).

Pwllheli

The small market town of Pwllheli with its award winning marina & blue flag beach is 4 miles away. There are shops, cafes and restaurants aplenty plus a cinema, public library and leisure centre. Abersoch is 10 miles away and Criccieth, Porthmadog, Aberdaron and Nefyn are all within easy reach.

There are numerous historic and scenic attractions such as the Snowdonia National Park, Ffestiniog Steam Railway, Welsh Highland Steam Railway, Caernarfon, Criccieth and Harlech Castles and the Italianate village of Portmeirion designed by Clough Williams-Ellis, a family forebear.
