Domaine Labat is a charming old farm in the southwest of France, with a luxurious, large cottage “gite” (400 m2) and studio for 17 persons. The domain Labat 55 hectares situated on a picturesque hill with stunning views of both the Pyrenees and the valley of the Save. An ideal place to fully unwind. Include a large garden, lovely pool and terrace with outdoor kitchen and a petanque (jeu de boules). But there is for the fans also a lot to do in the area. Located 75 km southwest of Toulouse between two villages, St. Laurent and Montbernard. St Laurent is 1.5 km walking distance and 3 km along paved road by car away from the cottage and has a bakery with fresh bread (including croissants) and a number of grocery sales. In the town of L'Isle en Dodon from the 14th century, 10 km away, all kinds of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and a supermarket. The area and the many recreational opportunities characterize the landscape of the Haute-Garonne with wooded hills, winding rivers and lush hedges.
For those who enjoy walking and cycling, it is said that many roads and paths along Labat perform. So bike, hike or drive a car through the forests, farms and villages, enjoy the sights of the historic towns or enjoy the music festivals (eg Jazz in Marciac!). Also nearby are 3 different lakes for fishing, water sports or with a beach. And visit the bustling street markets. Sports clubs are also nearby (including horse riding 5 km), 10 golf courses (15-45km), tennis (2 km), canoeing (4 km) and 50 km away in the Pyrenees with great hiking and skiing areas.
The Haute-Garonne is known for good food and good wine, foie gras (fresh every Monday on the market in Samatan), ducks, geese, plums and dark red wine from the Southwest (Madiran, Fronton, Gaillac). For great shopping, go to Toulouse, Tarbes and St. Gaudens or take advantage of cheap shopping in Spain and Andorra. And of course a wonderful climate, both winter and summer.
