The Florida / Florida Gulf Coast region
Whichever way you drive from our location, you will come accross beautiful blue water vistas. Drive north west from this holiday home and you will cross the wide Peace and Myakka rivers both of which flow into Charlotte Harbour. On the west side of the harbour lies Port Charlotte, a residential town with excellent shopping and restaurant options. Further west you will encounter the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf beaches. Take a drive along Manasota Key via Englewood Beach and passing Manasota Beach. Further north you have Venice beach, and the waterways that gave this town its name. Go north and spend a day visiting Sarasota. Main Street is worth a stroll as is St Armands Circle, which is close to Sarasota beach. If you drive south you can visit the beautiful key islands of Captiva and Sanibel, which are west of Cape Coral. A part day shopping in Fort Myers can be rounded off on the beach with cold cocktails.
Punta Gorda Isles area
Our holiday apartment is provided with local guide magazines which will describe the multitude of places to see and visit in the area. Once booked, we will provide you with a list of dozens of websites from local business's, attractions, restaurants, sporting and cultural events, boat rentals, golf courses, and much more. You can research much of what you might want to do before you actually walk off your flight. Within a couple of miles of this apartment you have the lovely small town of Punta Gorda, with its miles of canals. Visit Fishermans Village for shopping, wining, dining, boating and breathtaking views over Charlotte Harbour.
How to get there
For direct flights from Gatwick, fly BA to Tampa (TPA), which is a 90 minute drive away. For indirect flights from anywhere, fly into Fort Myers (RSW), which is 60 minutes diving time. For best choice of direct flights, fly into Orlando (MLO), which is a 2+ hours drive away. We don't recommend Miami since the drive is around 4 hours. Best value car hire for us has always been provided by British agents www.airline-network.co.uk.

Further details indoors: This apartment was originally fitted out as the builders' show apartment. If there was an upgrade available it's here! Superb top end fixtures and fittings, luxury bathrooms, fine quality furniture, and water views to calm the mind. There is no sense of 'lack of space' here. From the generous terrace overlooking the blue water, to the large open plan sitting room, media alcove, dining area and large kitchen. There is a separate study, and of course two bedrooms with lots of storage space and two luxury bathrooms.
Further details outdoors: There is a jacuzzi and heated pool and bathing area within the Schooner Cove grounds that is for use of the residents. Many of the residents have their boats moored up alongside the waterfront. With the sun shining it becomes an idyllic setting to relax in after a day shopping, sightseeing or merely returning form the beach or a fine restaurant..
