There is a south-facing private pool (with bar) and private boat dock, ideal for renting a boat and exploring the area., or take a boat tour down to the Gulf Islands of Cabbage Key and Cayo Costa.
The dock provides direct access to the Gulf islands of Boca Grande, Sanibel, and Captiva.
Just a few minutes WALK from famous Fisherman's Village waterfront restaurant/shopping complex.

This is our second succesive rental from the Chapmans and we have not been disappopinted both times . The Villa is situated in a very beautiful and peaceful area , it is very clean and has all the amenities you need . The lanai is huge with a beautiful pool that overlooks the punta gorda canal system . There are beautiful beaches nearby at Englewood and Boca grande and we have never failed to see manatee or dolphins swimming close to the shore . Overall its a wonderful villa for a relaxing break after the mania of Orlando . |

We wanted a 'getaway' location following a few days in Orlando, and this Villa was ideal. The location is very good, near all amenities (unusually it is within easy walking distance of restaurants) but quiet and relaxed. The villa itself is very well appointed and on a lovely canal so ideal for boaters or fishermen. We received very good information on travel, and local amenities before we arrived. A very well furnished modern house, ideal for our family vacation. The Punta Gorda / Port Charlotte area is not hugely endowed with big tourist attractions, but there are lots of boats trips, fishing charters and a few nice smaller attractions - we'd recommend back-bay fishing, trips to the beautiful barrier island beaches. |

My family and I had a fantastic stay at villa Rum Cay. the weather was good and the kids loved the pool and fishing on the canal. The villa is well equipped we liked being able to bar-b-que next to the pool. It made a great easter break |
