The cottage garden has fabulous, uninterrupted views over the countryside and South Downs.... the cows will come up to see you at the fence! There is a public footpath starting next to our garden. Local nature reserve with lovely walks start at the cottage too.
It is just a short walk to Nutbourne common, which is a delightful hideaway.
Newly laid tarmac road has removed old potholes that led to our cottage - great new lane surface laid 1st March 2014.
Welcome toiletry gift packs and chocolates await our guests.
Pets: We provide food & water bowls plus a welcome treat.... we do ask for your dogs to keep to cottage rules. No dogs on furniture or upstairs, or to be left alone in the cottage....thank you.
Suitable for toddlers with care as staircase is steep, although it is a fantastic place for small children as they can play in the fields and woods right next to the garden. Fantastic for ALL age groups!
Suitable for guests with limited mobility as the single bedroom has access to downstairs shower & toilet. The cottage is very old, so height varies from room to room...please be aware there are low beams and thresholds in the cottage, especially the doorways upstairs.

Thank you Louisa!
We are so pleased your enjoyed your stay! A road without a name is always a challenge!! The goats left about 100 years ago - probably best as they can be a bit smelly! We hope your family made their flight from Gatwick and look forward to welcoming you again one day.

Goat Cottage is in a lovely rural spot backing onto delightful fields, but is also very accessible to many great places mostly within about half an hour's drive - such as Amberley, Arundel, Singleton (Weald & Downland museum) and Chichester to name but a few. There are great footpaths and the RSPB nature reserve at Pulborough Brooks is very close too. We loved having breakfast out on the patio which caught the sun in the morning. We would love to return as we quickly felt that Goat cottage was "home".

"Cute cottage in beautiful location"
We had a lovely stay in Goat Cottage for a long weekend to celebrate my parents' golden anniversary. The cottage is in a beautiful location, with a great outlook over fields towards the South Downs. There are plenty great walks nearby or from the cottage's doorstep. The cottage is very well equipped & thoughtfully decorated, making for a fun and relaxing weekend all round.

"Countryside at its best"
The owners were very helpful from the time of booking until the end of our stay. We found the amenities in excellent condition. We stayed at the cottage with four adults using all bedrooms. The location was as expected: quiet with beautiful views over the countryside. Great for walks. The pub in the village of Nutbourne can be highly recommended as well as the farm shop close by.
