The apartment is situated in a residential area of Medulin, which has the best of both worlds; it is quiet at night but only a five minute stroll to a choice of over 40 bars and restaurants. We are just 70metres from the waters edge, but a little further to the beach and sunbathing spots (approx 10mins walk) where you can relax in the cool adriatic waters.
The apartment is spacious and modren comprising of an airy, fully fitted kitchen/diner with open plan lounge area. The light cool comfortable double bedroom has ample storage. The shower room is fully tiled and has all the necessary facilities. Local hotels offer a wide range of pools, tennis courts and other facilities which can be used by external guests if you are eating or drinking there.

The Istria region
Medulin is the most Southern point of the Istrian peninsula. It is situated 10 mins from the Historic city of Pula where you can visit the most preserved Amphitheatre in Europe, it also has numerous cultural monuments from the Roman times. Istria boasts many beautiful resorts on its Peninsula also breath taking views further inland as you reach the high moutainous villages such as Pazin where you can taste the locallly made 'grappa'.

Medulin has something from everyone a beach holiday for those who like to relax, also for the more lively you can go snorkling, scuba diving,water sking (rental services are available for motor boats,canoes,peddleboats and bikes).
Those who like to venture a little further there are many organised daily excursions from the village maybe a trip to Venice, Brijuni islands, Plitvic lakes or a full day tour of Istria itself, plus many more.
How to get there
Flights are available to Pula from most main airports in the UK:
- Britannia/ Thomson flights are available via the internet. At the moment Thomson flights have been reduced in cost as easyjet have opened a flight from bristol into Rijeka, which approx one and half hours drive to our apt. Pula airport is 10 mins from our apartment, ideal for those travelling from Stanstead, but is not directly on the flight path. It costs approx £10 for a taxi transfer ( There are two types of taxi's, they charge different amounts so check on that before commencing your journey to Medulin). Car hire is available from the airport or the local tourist info office ( i have used several car hire companies, all good but do remenber to take the original credit card you booked it with or you may have problems). You can get a daily ferry to Venice if you would like to visit for a day or stay for a few nights. Info available at many local tourist info offices. Also you can get a ferry from Rijeka that sails down south, again info from tourist office in Pula in main square.

(You will need to hire a car to drive down to Istria if you fly into Trieste - one to two hours drive).

Our apartment has no swimming pool, however there are many hotels in Medulin with excellent outdoor facilities such as, swimming pool, tennis courts, football and much more.

Smoking is not permitted inside the apt. Bookings now being taken for summer 09- cheap flights are available on line at present for summer 09.
