Villa Gorana offers you the accommodation at the ideal location just 1100 m from the sea, and the same distance from the City of Pula. Our apartment is far away from the city noise and the traffic jams. It is surrounded by 1500 m² large garden, in the shadow of the oak trees and pines. The house is located in a private villa suburb.

The apartment has its own entrance and its own 250 m² large garden blooming with flowers. It also possesses its own parking spot, lawn with deck chairs, parasols and children’s playground. Near by is the city of Pula, a cultural centre that is home to numerous cultural and historical monuments that have played an important role in the history of Croatia. Whether you want to explore Pula's history and culture, soak up the Mediterranean sun on one of the pristine beaches of the Istrian coast, dance the night away in a disco or get away from it all in the quiet, peaceful surroundings of our apartment, Villa Gorana is the perfect spot for your Croatian holiday.

The Istria region

Istria is a unique and ancient region. It is the biggest peninsula in the Croatian area of the Adriatic sea and is lapped by the sea of the Kvarner Bay on the eastern side and of the Trieste Bay on the western side. This attractive Mediterranean area gives guests an ideal base from which to explore the coastal areas as well as attractions further inland.

Istria is characterized by a special form of the Mediterranean climate for its geographical latitude: the summers are not too hot and winters are somewhat cold.The picturesque coast is 540 km long with numerous pebble coves and beaches washed by the clean sea. There's no better place to take a holiday in an atmosphere of total relaxation!

Pula/Medulin / Pula area

Pula is a very interesting city because it was built 3000 thousand years ago. Pula is considered the capital of Istrian tourism, full of history, tradition and natural beauty. Situated at the southeast end of the Istrian peninsula has been in existence since 3 thousand years. It represents a very fine combination of the old and modern city where many famous writers and composers have found inspiration for their masterpieces.

Many cultural and historical monuments dominate its panorama and present-day Pula is location for various cultural and artistic events. The most famous building built by the Romans is the amphitheatre, as well as lots of other historical buildings like Augustus' temple which was built in honour of the famous emperor Augustus.

Today Pula is the city which represents the connection between holiday on the beautiful coast with clear seawater, and legends and marks of a successful past. Unpolluted forests and coastlines with clearly beaches and moderate climate are important characteristics for those who prefer a holiday at the seaside. Tourist facilities are located outside the historical part of town in woods close to the sea. Beaches stretch along 100 km of beautiful and indented coast.

How to get there

Pula Airport (in Croatia) is 30 miles from our villa. Ryan Air flies there from Stansted on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from £19.99 each way. Monarch Airways have just launched a new service that flies between Pula and Gatwick on a Saturday. It departs Gatwick at 10:15 and arrives at 13:25. The return flight leaves Pula at 14:25, arriving at Gatwick at 15:30. This return trip costs £164 per person.

The nearby airports are Airport of Trieste - Ronchi dei Legionari (Italy, 150km), Ljubljana (Slovenia, 200km), Zagreb (Croatia, 255km) or Venezia - Marco Polo (Italy, 270km)

Trieste (in Italy) is 60 miles away. Ryan Air flies there daily in the summer from Stansted from £9.99 each way.

Ljublijana (in Slovenia) is 80 miles away. Easyjet flies there daily in the summer from £35 each way.

The apartment is 98 square metres in size and very comfortable. It is brand new, having been built in 2008.
Towels and linen will be changed on a regular basis throughout the week.

Our house is surrounded by typical Mediterranean nature, our garden is spreading out 1500 m² in the shadow of the oak trees and pines. The apartment has its own parking space, its own 250m² garden with accessories plus barbecue, garden furniture, children's games and badminton.

The nearest beach is just over a kilometre away from our apartment. There are many different kinds of beach in the area (rocky, sandy and pebble beaches) as well as sport and entertainment centres, swimming pools, beach volleyball and dancing terraces.

Just one and a half kilometres away is the centre of Pula, which boasts many cultural and historical monuments. Today, Pula is home to various cultural and artistic events.

During your holiday here at Villa Gorana, you can therefore enjoy a beach holiday, spectacular natural beauty and fascinating culture and history, all at the same time!

Conditions

20% of total cost is payable in advance as a booking deposit. This is payable by bank transfer.

In the high season August the check in/out is strictly on Saturdays. Other periods the check in/out isn't fixed to a specific day.

The check in is from 12am
The check out is until 10am
