An all-year round well appointed air conditioned/heated four double bedroom house with pool and maintained garden to the front and rear. A short drive from the beaches, golf courses, water parks, mountain walks, Palma airport, Palma town, Soller and Deia makes this an ideal summer and winter destination.
Set over three floors with main living on ground and first floor level, the interior is decorated in a contemporary style with wooden floors in the living spaces and tiled floors in the kitchen and bathrooms. There is inside dining and outside dining for six under a wide, sheltered veranda overlooking the mountainside and the sunset.
The house is located in a delightful working Mallorcan village and best suits families and small groups looking for a quieter, more off the beaten track experience. It is a great place to unwind and relax in a tranquil yet well served local community.

The Mallorca/Majorca region
Mallorca or Majorca is the largest of the Balearic islands, an archipelago to the east of the Spanish mainland. The islands a wide variety of activities and experiences depending on your tastes.
It has some of the finest beaches in the region, unspoilt countryside, a sleepy rural interior as well as a developed tourist resort scene with every variety of activity imaginable. The island is easily driven from top to bottom in a couple of hours.
Puigpunyent / Galilea area
Set on the eastern slopes of the Tramuntana Mountains, Puigpunyent is a natural enclave of exceptional beauty located very close to Palma de Mallorca. Several summits in the mountain chain located nearby make the municipality the ideal starting point for excursions of all kinds,
The valley of Puigpunyent is surrounded by Puig de Galatzó, 1035 metres high, Mola de la Planícia, 932 metres high, and Fita des Ram, 833 metres high. Pine trees make up most of its forests, which also include beautiful examples of hundred-year-old holm oak trees. Of interest is the vegetation on the slopes of Sa Riera Torrent, which originates on Son Vic de Superna farmstead and empties into the Bay of Palma.
The eighteenth-century church of la Assumpció de la Mare de Déu, located in Puigpunyent, and the neo-classical church in the hamlet of Galilea are the main attractions of local architecture. Traditionally, its forest resources and dry-irrigation agriculture were the basis of Puigpunyent´s economy.

Further details indoors: The house is a home from home and well maintained by the owner. Every amenity is provided, from towels, sheets and blankets, to beach bags, beach towels, sun loungers, dining ware and a well stocked kitchen for those wishing to eat and entertain at the house.
Ses Veles has a music system, TV, with a CD and DVD library, telephone and high speed wireless broadband (included in the rental price).
There are four well appointed bedrooms, a master bedroom with en suite bathroom with exposed wooden ceiling beams, wardrobes and cupboard space, two with mountain views and two with a balcony (one with a table and chairs overlooking the mountainside). There are two upstairs bathrooms with power showers and a ground level bathroom/toilet.
Further details outdoors: The house comes with an attached garage and car parking space and is completely enclosed at the front and rear and the gardens are well stocked with flowering shrubs and an orange, olive and palm tree.
The rear garden is connected to the garage with additional storage and a second fridge freezer. The 7x5 metre pool is enclosed with teak decking and good quality outdoor furniture.
The house is in the heart of the village and is a two minute walk to the shops that include a supermarket, butcher, newsagent, bakery, ironmonger, post office, pharmacy, medical centre and several bars, cafes and good quality/value restaurants. Daily provisions including fresh local bread, cheese and meat can be purchased every day in the village with early and late closing times. Although a car would be useful to visit the island, the village of Puigpunyent is self-sufficient and well connected by a four times daily bus service to Palma town and the surrounding villages.
There is a 5 star spa hotel (www.sonnet.es) in the village for fine dining and special celebrations.

Please note that prices are fully inclusive of end of stay cleaning, high-speed broadband, tv (Spanish language channels only), self-service laundry (washer and dryer), heating/cooling and water. Additional daily cleaning can be arranged for a reasonable charge to the renter.
An English language rental contract to be signed and the full rental charges to be paid at least 7 days before the start of the rental. There is a local English speaking representative in the village. Please contact owner for any special requests. The owner is English and divides his time between Mallorca and UK and can be contacted before or during the rental to answer additional questions.
