The tropical climate brings a lot of rain but even more beauty with it in the form of the amazing flowers and the colourful birds and butterflies that they attract. The local climate also has an effect on the ocean and brings world famous surf waves right here in Puerto Viejo town at the renowned Salsa Brava reef break as well as all along the coast, providing surf for all levels of experience. The proximity to so much protected land in the nearby national parks and refuges provides access to an amazing level of biodiversity for the nature lover and a wide variety of eco friendly tours and activities are available in the region.

Puerto Viejo

The town of Puerto Viejo itself is a cosmopolitan place, the local Caribbean culture mixed with indigenous, Tico and multinational residents, creates the interesting and eclectic blend that the town is so well known for. Peruse the many artists stalls or local souvenir shops for original and handmade items, crafted by the many artists drawn to the area. Eat in the many any varied gastronomic establishments, from the local sodas with their Rice and Beans to Sushi, Italian, Chinese restaurants among others dotted all over the town. Lay back and relax on the miles of black and white sand beaches, take a tour in the jungle or visit the rescue centre and get up close and personal with the local wildlife. Dance the night away at one of the local bars or discos, under the moonlight on the beach.

The apartment is conveniently located close to all amenities, tucked at the edge of town, nestled by the jungle. It is a quiet, residential neighbourhood, with simple and colorful cement houses, tropical flowers, fruit and palm trees. An opportunity to live alongside the locals
