About the home

Hibisco 1 is a popular, well maintained complex of 24 privately owned apartrments located in a desirable location opposite the Los Gigantes Sports Club and enjoying a shared pool. The apartment has lovely sea views and is furnished to a high standard with everything guests could possibly need in terms of equipment, including 2 hairdryers, full range of kitchen utensils (juicer, toastie maker etc.), TV (sky news channel), dvd player, Ipod dock, a wide range of CDs and CD player, tennis rackets, board games and a safe deposit box (free). The apartment is at a low level with a relatively flat walk into Los Gigantes and its many shops, bars and restaurants. A quality supermarket is located 400 metres away..

This delightful Apartment is on the top floor of a 2 storey block of 6 apartments and is light and airey with lovely views of the sea and La Gomera, in a great location adjacent to the Los Gigantes Sports Club which offers crazy golf, tennis, bar/restaurant (which closed well before midnight) and a very nice pool/sunbathing area. There are ceiling fans in the two bedroms and lounge. The apartment has a newly fitted kitchen and bathroom. The apartment is cleaned weekly including towel and linen change - more frequently at a supplement if required. Cots/high chairs available for hire.

Hibisco 1 has its own pool with a small children's section included and enjoying spectacular sea views. There is a shower by the pool and a nice garden area which is well planted and maintained. To the front and rear of the complex there is on-street parking. The apartment is quite secure with entry via a secure locked gate (to 3 apartments).

The Tenerife region

Tenerife is approximately 4 hours flight from the UK and is an ideal place to visit to get away from the winter (or summer!) weather in the UK, enjoying the distinct micro climates of north and south Tenerife. Tenerife is part of the Canary Islands and visitors may wish to 'Island hop' to the less known La Gomera, El Hierrio or La Palma by ferry. There are a plethora of activities - visiting mount teide, the zoo, water parks (newly opened Siam Park in July 2008 is largest in Europe!), pearl factory, many fabulous shops (very designer in Las Americas), fishing, boat trips, diving, walking/climbing, go-karting, bike riding, golfing and for the less energetic a range of spa treatments are available at nearby hotels.

The Puerto Santiago / Los Gigantes area

Los Gigantes named after 'The Giants', the cliffs which are the backdrop to the village. This is place for couples and families, with some very good restaurants for all price ranges and a number of bars, including some with live entertainment. All restaurants and bars are no smoking. Two public pools/sunbathing areas directly overlook the sea, one with slides into the pool for the children and a bar/restaurant! There is a small beach and a lovely quaint harbour. The village square is surrounded by a small number of restauraunts but is dominated by a lovely church. The resort is adjacent to Puerto Santiago and Playa Del Arena.

The airport 'Reina Sofia' or Tenerife South has flights each day to/from all of the main UK and european airports by scheduled or charter flights. There is an abundance of options to transfer from the airport to Hibisco 1 - taxis, hire car companies or specialist companies providing minibus transfer - we are able to offer guests advice on their chosen option.

“Position and quality of apartment-tops” Second stay proved just as good as previous one. Clean, spacious apartment, with easy access and all mod con's for self-catering. Excellent position for exploring Los Gigantes on foot, and whole of island from regular bus services 40m from front door. Tennis courts opp. where visitors are made welcome. 5 min. walk from shops and 8 min. walk to supermarket. Sun all day
