The Tenerife region
Tenerife
Because of its geographical position in the North Atlantic zone near Africa and influenced by various sea currents, Tenerife enjoys a mild, spring like climate the whole year round.
1000 km distant from its mother country Spain, located in the open Atlantic, its purity of the air delights nature lovers and the environment conscious, and benefits those with allergic diseases and in general all who seak health.
Pico del Teide – 3817 m above sea level – the highest mountain in Spain - is located on Tenerife, surrounded by the rich fauna and flora of a nature reserve.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital of the island, takes second place in the world after Rio de Janeiro for its famous carnival parades and hot Samba rhythms.
Leaving the tourist high spots one finds tranquillity by hiking through pine forests, but also sporting activities are possible. One can enjoy the complete range of water sports, there are a great number of tennis courts, and in addition eight golf courses wait for players.
Puerto Santiago / Playa de la Arena area
Puerto Santiago, Playa de la Arena and Los Gigantes are especially sheltered from wind and weather by 300 m high cliffs of the Teno mountain range. A mountain pass road leads via the villages of Tamaimo and Santiago del Teide over towards the more humid north of the island-to Icod de Los Vinos and to Puerto de la Cruz.
The sandy beach “Playa de la Arena” only at a 5 minutes walking distance from the Villa Terber, is emphasised in all guide books for its beauty.
Hire cars, various kinds of boats, mountain bikes, Jeeps, motor-bikes, and even camels are available for exploring the island.
Food and shopping:
The local professional fishermen provide seasonal delicacies from the sea. The restaurants offer fish specialities made from freshly caught fish and prepared various recipes.
In the vicinity there is a supermarket with a special fish and seafood offer, so that one may also prepare fish at home in the own pan.
Fresh fruits and vegetables are available the whole year around.
Many restaurants, shops, shopping centres stay open until late at night and will accept credit cards.
Action and fun:
In order to experience the bustle of a tourist metropolis with its large stores, discotheques, gambling saloons etc. one would have to go to Las Americas – Los Christianos. (30 min. by car)
For those who do not solely want to relax lazily in the sun, local travel operators offer innumerable excursions all over Tenerife as well as to its neighbouring islands.
Sport:
Eight golf courses, many tennis courts, some horse-riding clubs, health-studies, and other sport centres are available on Tenerife for those who wish to exercise. Sport-fishing along the coast is equally popular with local inhabitants and foreign guests.
In order to go deep sea fishing one can take part in group excursions or hire a boat of one´s own. In the vicinity of Playa de la Arena there are three diving schools who also rent out the necessary equipment.
It is not a secret any more that the island offers a wealth of well described hiking paths from easy to difficult where the hiker may enjoy a magnificent scenery at pleasant temperatures. Mountain bikers bring along with them on the plane more and more often their well proven sporting equipment. Bicycle rentals and repair shops are also available, - or would you like to hire a Harley Davidson? That is offered too.
How to get there
Travel to Tenerife is easy all year around.
A great number of travel operators and airlines offer daily flights to the island.
Ask for a “flight only” ticket.
Please note, the closest airport to the Villa Terber is Tenerife South 'Reina Sofia'.
However, it is advisable to book early since the demand for airline seats to the island is high.

Further details indoors: On the upper level there is a spacious 3 bedroom apartment with approx. 132 sqm. Two of the bedrooms have bathrooms en suit, the kitchen has a window and is open to the living and dining area. The seaward front ends with a 40 sqm partly covered terrace that is reached through two separate large sliding glass doors. The two apartments on the lower level have a combined size of 104.50 sqm.
The lounges are adequately furnished offering Sky TV and Video. For guests who prefer self catering, the kitchens are equipped with hot plates, a microwave oven with a grill and a refrigerator. Coffee machine, toaster, glasses, and dishes are provided in each apartment. The bedrooms are fully furnished. The bathrooms are fitted with a hand wash basin, a large shower area and in addition there is a washing machine. The WC is separate. Hand and shower towels are provided for each person.
Further details outdoors: Immediately in front of the apartments is a delightful sea water swimming pool that is heated during the winter months. Generously dimensioned steps lead all the way to the bottom of the pool. At night the lights of several underwater spotlights make the pool sparkle like a jewel in its dreamlike seaside setting.
The tropical garden offers a peaceful environment for your complete relaxation. You are invited to place your deckchair into any desired spot in the garden. You are not limited to the terrace; find your own favourite location!
The striking closeness to the sea gives you a feeling of being amidst the ocean. Uninterrupted panoramic views over the sea to the facing island of “la Gomera” show passing fishing boats accompanied by flights of seagulls, yachts and shoals of dolphins which provide never ending diversion.

Further details
The cleaning of the apartment, as well as the exchange of bed linen, hand and shower towels will be once a week and is included in the final cleaning rate of Euro 190. A safe is at your disposal.

For long term rentals (8 weeks) a discount of 10% is provided.
Terms: In order to co-ordinate your desired arrival and departure day with the flight schedules, we will be pleased to hold your initial reservation for 48 hours. Please pay a deposit of 25% of the total rent immediately after your final confirmation to the account mentioned below. The money transfer cost is to be paid by the tenant.
