The Tenerife region
Tenerife is one of europe's favourite hot spots for holiday makers with it's year round mild climate and sunshine nearly every day. Situated just 28o northof the eqator, it is on the same latitude as florida, yet within easy flying distance of all european airports.
Puerto Santiago area
LOS GIGANTES derives it's name from the magnificent cliffs that dominate the view across the picturesque harbour. The marina itself is bordered by a choice of bars and restaurants and also offers a wide range of water-borne activities, from scuba diving and deep sea fishing to the popular whale and dolphin watching trips. The village also has three leisure parks with swimming pools, tennis, crazy golf and bowls, and a wide selection of shops and restaurants banks and bars with good live entertainment. All areas are within easy walking distance from the apartment, or a short taxi drive.
PUERTO SANTIAGO enjoys a much more Canarian character, it overlooks the old fishing harbour and a small sandy beach. Puerto Santiago is also full of little bars and eating establishments.
PLAYA DE LA ARENA has one of the districts main tourist attractions a beautiffully clean sandy beach which is patrolled by lifeguards who fly the red flag when sea conditions get to rough for swimming. Again the area has a selection of bars, restaurants and shops and a tourist information office.
