The Gran Canaria region
For all year sunshine Gran Canaria is the place to be. A very popular resort for Christmas and the New Year. The hottest months are July and August. In the resort of Puerto there are numerous water sports, parascending, diving school, fishing trips, dolphin searches and water park nearby. For the more adventurous take a jeep safari trip through the mountains of Gran Canaria. Puerto Rico Commercial Centre which is less than 10mins walk has numerous bars, restaurants and nightlife.
Puerto Rico Resort area
Take a relaxing ferry boat trip to the Port of Mogan, a picturesque village known as little venice. If you are one for a bargain why not take in the market in Mogan on friday mornings. There is also a local market in the nearby town of Arguineguin, where you will also find some very friendly tapas bars. Take a stroll across the cliffside to the lovely beach of Amadores where you will also find plenty and restaurants and a fabulous new mini golf course.
