This ideal Penthouse apartment is in the stunning " Al Andalus Resort" situated near the old Moorish town of Mojacar and Vera, only 1.5 miles (2.5km) from miles and miles of sandy beaches.
An popular waterpark is just down the road and there are plenty of local amenities, including restaurants, bars and shops - not to mention 3 Championship golf courses only 15-25 minuntes drive away
The resort has a gorgeous outdoor pool with children's area, set in lush green gardens. There is also a heated indoor pool.
The apartment has 2 bedrooms, is tastefully furnished to accommodate 4 people in comfort and has the benefit of aircondition/heating in the lounge/dining area and the master bedroom to make you feel comfortable at whatever time of year you visit.
The large south-west facing balcony is blessed with sun for most of the day, ideal for sun-seekers and having meals and those relaxing evening drinks outside in comfort under the romantic spanish sky.

The Costa de Almeria region

The Costa de Almeria is the warmest and sunniest region in the whole of Europe, so it is an ideal area for your holiday destination.
With over 320 days of sunshine a year, it is hardly surprising that this region is becoming a very popular place to both live and visit.

The Costa de Almeria and the Costa Calida to the north are still completely unspoilt, conveniently situated on the southeastern Mediteranien Coast, easily accessible from the airports of Almeria, Murcia & Alicante.
To the east of Almeria we find the "Nijar Natural Park". This is an arid desert landscape and the annual rainfall here is less than 200mm. Visitors feel a sense of exploration here as many of the coves can only be reached by foot. This area is particularly popular with nature lovers and back-packers.

Whilst Costa del Almeria has become very popular amongst tourists, strict local laws have mangaged to preserve the andalusian style and flavour and protect it against becoming a high-rise concrete jungle like neighbouring costas

Puerto Rey / Al Andalus area

Puerto Rey is just a few minutes drive (15 minutes walk) down the road from Al Andalus Resort. Originally a small enclave of Villas, it has now been developed into a popular location for visitors and those that are looking for a second home. New holiday home complexes and hotels have been built.
It has more than 2 km of sandy beach and a good selection of shops and the Puerto Rey shopping centre which hosts a supermarket an internet cafe along with clothes, jewellery and handicraft shops. There is also a growing and comprehensive sports facility including tennis nearby.

To the left (the north) we come to Vera Play whis is an incresingly popular resort all year round with a stretch of over 8 km of white, sandy beaches which have earned the prestigious blue flag. In recent years this has been developed and now has many beach side complexes, bars and hotels. Vera Playa also offers many restaurants, bars and shops, along with the very popular and only waterpark in the area "Parcue Acuatico".

To the right (south) there are several stretches of sandy beaches that go on for miles. Vera Laguna, Garrucha and of course Mojacar Playa, with long promenades, beach bars and restaurants and shops, to cater for all kinds of tastes.
Not far, there is the old moorish town of Mojacar Pueblo nestled in the hills and the old town of Turre, all worth checking out together with the many Street Markets happening each week around the area.

How to get there

The closest Airport is Almeria, 85km to the south - 50 minutes drive north
Murcia Airport is 120km to the north - 95 minutes drive south
Alicante Airport is around 210km to the north - 2 hours drive south
Most budget Airlines such as - Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch etc fly to those airports.

The front door of the apartment opens to a comfortable and well equipped Lounge/Dining area furnished with a flat screen TV, DVD and Radio/CD player with MP3 input connection. Freeview satelite TV is installed with over 150 channels available.
The nice kitchen is fully kitted and equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.
From the Kitchen, the dining area and the 2nd bedroom there are lovely views towards the hills and and the sea.
The master bedroom has a double bed and a generously sized fitted wardrobe and across the corridor is the nice bathroom. There is a second bedroom with twin beds and a good sized fitted wardrobe

Further details outdoors:
From the lounge/dining area you step out onto the south-west facing large balcony which is caressed by the sun for most of the day. It is equipped with a table and chairs and umbrella for those wishing to eat al fresco at any time of the day (even during the off seasons) and sun loungers for private sun-bathing. There is a covered pergola for shade if necessary
The resort has a security controlled entrance as well as allocated covered parking.
There is a children's play area. The beautiful large outdoor pool with a children's splash area is open from May to September.
The resort also boasts of an inviting heated indoor pool, which is open from October to April, so swimming can be enjoyed whatever time of year you visit.
To get those delicious croissants in the morning, there is a large supermarket just round the corner and a lovely spanish restaurant and a tapas bar in walking distance.
A large selction of bars, restaurants, shops and banks are only a short drive, or approx 15 minutes walk away.
The towns of Vera, Garrucha, Mojacar Playa and Mojacar Pueblo are within easy reach via local bus service which stops on the main road, outside the resort every hour.
There are 3 golf courses, an Aqua Park and Go Karting circuit within 15 minutes drive from the resort.

A well-behaved dog is allowed but sorry no cats.
Smoking is permitted on the balcony only.
A refundable £100 (125EURO) breakages deposit is taken with final payment, returnable latest within 10 days of departure after inspection of property (subject to no breakages).
25% deposit is taken at time of booking to secure the property. Balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
Occupancy normally from 2pm; vacate by 10am, unless previously arranged

It’s a wonderful place. The apartment was perfect for our little family. Tastefully furnished in Mediterranean style. The spacious balcony was our “living room” during the entire stay. The children loved the pool and the playground. And so did we, since we could keep an eye on them from our balcony. All in all it was a beautifully relaxing holiday.
