Home description

This ground floor apartment is fully equipped to a high standard for the discerning self catering vacation with a communal pool area and children's playground, its a great family location. The gardens are well maintained and make a quiet haven.

Puerto Rey is a fantastic location for families, or the keen golfer. Just a few minutes walk to the Vera Player beach and minutes away from the Aqua Park, which is great for both adults and boasts a children's slide area too.

With multiple golf courses in the surrounding areas, its the perfect location for golfing holidays, its just 10 mins drive from the fantastic Desert Springs resort. Situated in between the fishing villages of Villaricos and Garrucha there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, and several new 4 star hotel resorts offering great amenities.

Puerto Rey is just a 10 min drive from the buzzy nightlife in Mojacor. In summary, El Faro makes an all year round perfect self catering holiday location.

The Costa de Almeria region

Holidays in Almeria offer a more authentic experience of life in southern Spain than the tourist-orientated resorts along the coast.

BEACHES

The area is split into two for golf holiday three courses around 10 mins from the apartment; Desert Spring, Marina Golf and Valle del Este and another four courses within an hours drive; La Env�a Golf, Playa Serena Golf, Alboran Golf and Golf Almerimar. The whole coast is booming in terms of tourism but you get a feel for the real Spain here, and there are many more golf courses under construction. Almeria is becoming increasingly popular with golfers and is now recognised as one of Spain�s premier golf destinations, it is easy to see why Almeria is now a serious rival to the more high-profile, and expensive golfing regions of the Costa del Sol, La Manga and The Algarve which are beginning to experience crowded courses where slow play can be a real issue.

SHOPPING
Open air markets and a variety of commercial shops can be found in most resorts while on holiday in Costa Almeria.

You can find local handicrafts, hand painted ceramics and leather goods in boutiques, local markets and beachside stalls.


NIGHTLIFE
Costa Almeria holidays offer relaxing days unwinding on the beach and the nightlife is leisurely and relatively low key. Most resorts have a selection of cafes, bars and excellent seafood restaurants though most of the evening entertainment may centre around the hotels.

Almeria airport is conveniently situated only 45 minutes drive away from Mojacar, more and more flights from popular airports in the UK, such as Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and others are now flying into Almeria.

Alicante is our second closest airport being 2 hours drive from Mojacar.
Murcia airport is also approx 1.5hours drive from Mojacar.


Puerto Rey area

Puerto Rey is beautiful low key, resort, situated on East of Costa Almeria, it can be found around 10mins drive from the well known Mojacor, which is a very lively buzzy resort, with great restaurants and bars, however, Puerto Rey is ideal for those wishing to relax and chill out on the amazing uncrowded beach, offering a more low key feel.

The Water Park is located in Puerto Rey and is the ideal day out for families and couples alike, the park boasts a special area for younger children too.

Puerto Rey, is a relatively new holiday destination and this shows, with all resorts being very clean and clearly benefiting from the millions that have been invested in, several new 4 star hotels have been built also offering great facilities.

The fishing village of Garrucha is only a short drive or bus away, with a lively local market, fishing marina and plenty of great fish restaurants to choose from.

All in all, Puerto Rey, is a great location for families looking for a quiet resort with the option of plenty to do just a stone throw away.

Nearest airport is Almeria - 1 hours drive, with Ryan Air and Easy jet, running daily flights. Murcia Airport is around 1.5 hours. Largest main Airport Alicante - 2 hours drive.
Car Hire companies can be found in Almeria Airport, with many different offices, such as Centauro, Sol Mar and Aurigacrown, GoldCar.

Access to road carparks at the front of property can be reached from back.

Booking can be arranged directly via phone or email. Full payment and an additional £100 security deposit is requested 8 weeks before travel. This can be arranged directly and can be sent by cheque.
Keys will be posted to you 2 weeks before travel.
Once keys are returned by post and property check is satisfactory, deposit will be sent back.
Booking enquiries made prior to 8 weeks before travel date can be secured with a £200 holding deposit
