On the first (top) floor directly over a souvenir shop in a small shopping parade (restaurants, supermarkets, shops) and opposite the Hotel Pollensa Park. There is easy parking.
It has a large privated roof terrace with sun loungers, garden furniture, bbq... and nice views to sea and moountains.
This 2 bedroomed apartment can sleep up to 6 persons as there is also a double sofa bed in the lounge area.
There is satellite TV, air conditioning in the lounge and fans in all rooms.
The open plan kitchen is fully fitted with microwave, washing machine etc. The bathroom is new with full bath.
Opposite the apartment there is Hotel's swimming pool for adults and children.

I was very fortunate to stay at the Little Popark for the whole of August in 2009 and came again in 2010. The property is on the floor above the souvenir shop, which the owners operate so it's kind of like having a reception desk as you know there's always someone there just incase you need them! You access the property from the rear of the shop (private entrance) so you can come and go as you please and it's a novelty having the spiral staircase as we don't have one at home - the kids thought that was very special! There's a gated area at the bottom of the stairs (approx. 6x6ft) which is great for beach storage of sandy lilos etc. The apartment itself is light and breezy with a full wall of patio doors to the front overlooking the gardens of the Pollenca Park Hotel. With the doors closed, you can't hear any noise from the hotel or the quiet street below. There is a cafe next door and also there is no noise from there. This room is open plan - with a television (with some English channels but I also brought some DVDs for the kids as there is a DVD player there - very handy!), sofa (which pulls out into two singles - one slides beneath the other when in sofa format), table and 4 chairs plus an armchair and the kitchenette which comes fully equipped with cutlery, cups, glasses, plates, pots/pans, oven, tall fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster etc. It's very homely and cosey at night with the main lights off and the hall light on! The twin bedroom at the rear has spectacular views over the nature reserve area and onto the mountains beyond. It's a really light room and the decor is traditional Majorcan with wooden shutters over paned windows, its very characterful. The second twin bedroom is in the middle with paned windows (no shutters) and is larger (a large double) with huge fitted wardrobes and drawers - loads of storage! There is also a full bathroom (with powerful shower over) and a washing machine (which was a Godsend during our month stay!). There's a massive storage cupboad in the hall (great for large suitcases!) which has an iron + ironing board. The beds and towels were changed weekly and the whole apartment cleaned through (note there was about a dozen towels left out each week so more than enough!). The owners are really nice - as are the neighbours who are really friendly (the cafe next door has an internet zone and also the Pollensa Park has internet there too.. there is a sneaky wifi hotspot just outside the Pollensa Park on the front wall :0). The beach is LITERALLY 2 mins walk from the apartment (I think this is the BEST area of the Puerto Pollensa beach since it is the deepest and also the water is quite shallow to start which is great for kids). You can pop into Rosa's market (next door but two!) in the morning for fresh croissants and bread and loads of fruit (not forgetting your English paper from the shop next door!). Theres a great pizza/fish restaurant on the corner which sells fantastic coffee to take away in the morning! and a cafe directly on the beach (sorry never had the need to go in there! but it's handy nonetheless). FREE toilets on the beach about a minute walk from that cafe and a five minute walk will take you to a lovely sandy and well shaded playground (swings, slides and jungle climbing frame) for the little ones - directly outside the police station :) there's also a VERY CHEAP cafe there too selling coffee/beer + snacks - and more toilets :) Its a lovely stroll into town (it gets increasingly noisy towards the Marina! which is a 15 min walk away - ther'es a doctors + pharmacy on the way). FINALLY!!! Aurora (the owner) also does car hire which is SO MUCH CHEAPER than getting it before you go.. so call her before you book any vehicles - even if you don't book the apartment! Suffice to say, we all loved it and I hope you do too. Have a great stay! |
