About the home

This magnificent villa is perched above the entrance to Puerto Pollensa on the exclusive El Vilar private estate, just five minutes from the resort. The old town of Pollensa and the resort of Cala San Vincente are also just a few minutes drive away.

Set in approximately 2,500 square meters of mature garden and lawns, this is without doubt one of the most distinctive villas in our exclusive portfolio. The villa is approached from the main road, some 300m away and accessed through double gates with a stone drive way extending to the upper level and garage.

Stone steps lead up to a large covered terrace, with access to the house through a traditional solid wooden door. The accommodation comprises briefly of a large lounge with split-level dining room and a separate fully fitted kitchen.

From the lounge there is a hallway leading to a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a triple bedroom. The newly fitted shower room and separate family bathroom are adjacent to the main bedrooms. All the rooms are extremely spacious and very tastefully furnished throughout in traditional Mallorcian style. The villa benefits from central heating and has a large screen TV and DVD Player in the lounge.

Outside, the covered, shaded terrace is equipped with a quality wooden table and chairs, giving the opportunity for guests to take in the wonderful views across Puerto Pollensa, the open countryside and mountains in the region.

From the covered terrace, there is access to the feature 6m x 6m swimming pool planned around a palm tree with surrounding sunbathing area. The property is totally private and has very well kept gardens, surrounding hedges, many shrubs and original olive trees. To the side of the house there is a specially constructed terrace with a feature brick build Barbecue, again offering superb views from the alfresco dining area. A selection of sun beds, patio furniture and parasols are provided.

The location is idea; very quiet and peaceful with wonderful views yet only a few minutes drive from beaches, water sports, bars and restaurants.

We are pleased to present a selection of Puerto Pollensa villas to rent. Puerto Pollensa is, without any doubt, one of the most attractive municipalities of the island. It’s for some reason that it was one of the areas where tourism started, besides being a preferred destination of painters and artists since the beginning of this century.

From the scenic point of view, Pollensa is full of contrasts, and a quite big part of the so-called “Sierra de Tramontana” with its steep mountains and its deep valleys, which in many cases end in most beautiful and lonely bays, where the blue of the sea mixes with the grey of the limestone rocks and the brilliant green of the pine trees, is situated within its municipality. Here, the cultural and artistic life never stops. There are a lot of art galleries and beautiful handcraft shops. During nearly all the year one con enjoy a variety of musical events, among which the most famous ones are those that take place in the Santo Domingo Cloister.

The cosmopolitan character is due to the fact that a lot of Europeans have their holiday villa in Puerto Pollensa, and many live permanently in the area. The municipality of Pollensa comprises, apart from the old town, two further townships, the PORT OF POLLENSA and CALA SANT VICENÇ, two coastal towns with a well-defined and different personality, due to the fact that they are situated in two settings with completely different geographical and scenic characteristics.

Port de Pollensa is famous since many years for its outstanding beauty and its scenic variety, being the deepest and most closed bay of Mallorca. In this bay you’ll find enclaves as exclusive as Formentor.

Pollença has the best climate for nature lovers, for playing golf, nautical sports and excursions . The best hikes to make in the North Mallorca are trips to the Puig de María, the Castell del Rei, Vall de Ternelles and “La Atalaia de Albercutx”. Also the Formentor Peninsula offers some lovely excursions, to the mountains Na Blanca and En Fumat for Example.

Or visit one of the isolated bays, such as Cala Boquer, Cala Sant Vicenç or Cala Castell, these you can also find on the peninsular of Formentor.

Just thought I’d send you a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Vila 85. The photos on the web site do not do it justice - one could live in that bathroom – in fact it was bigger than the suite in the last 5 star hotel we stayed in (we measured it…) I think the owner must have thought of everything down to the tiniest detail. Brilliant!
The view over the bay of Puerto Pollenca was delightful and with the bougainvilleas, hibiscus and oleander in flower - it was just so pretty, we found it hard to leave.
The pool was exceptionally clean as was the villa.Definitely recommend your site, service, the villa and book again in the future.

My family spent a week at Vila El Vilas in Majorca, returning just over a week ago. I wanted to let you know that we had a most enjoyable stay. The villa was extremely nice, in a lovely position and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the pool and the garden, despite the weather not being exactly perfect all week.
