Villa | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
A fantastically glamorous modern villa overlooking the bay of Puerto Pollença. Villa Bona Vista is a new house at the foot of the Boquer mountain, close to the famous valley walk, and only a 2-minute stroll to the sandy beach on Puerto Pollenca's Pine-Walk.
It's on high ground at the edge of the resort, overlooking treetops and buildings all the way down to the sea and across to the mountains of the Formentor Peninsula. It's a fabulous house with rooms full of light and relaxing space.
The design is luxurious and contemporary, mixing natural materials with modern styling. The main living space is on the first floor facing the sea. The lounge and dining room is a huge, sunny space with a wall of glass opening out onto a balcony. It's a cool minimal design with grey sofas, a vaulted wooden ceiling, and satellite TV and a DVD/CD stereo.
The kitchen is another large space - looking to the mountains inland - with sleek grey units, a second dining table, a walk-in pantry, and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and an extra-size fridge-freezer.
Double sliding doors lead out from both the lounge and dining room to a fantastic upper terrace, with stunning views of the bay and the mountains. There's also a gorgeous double bedroom on the first floor with its own doors to the terrace, an en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath and a walk-in shower. Also on this floor there's a WC cloakroom.
There are three more air-conditioned bedrooms on the ground floor - a double and two twins with sparkling en-suite bathrooms. All have doors out onto a sun-terrace and more gorgeous views of the pool and the bay. There's also a double-height entrance hall on this level with windows onto a simple courtyard garden with palms. There's also a double garage, a table-tennis table, and a utility area.
The pool and terrace are a great design with an infinity pool, a whirlpool, and terraces - all facing the sweep of the bay. The pool also has views inland to the northern mountains with Pollença Old Town in the distance.
Villa Bona Vista is a wonderful modern villa for a glamorous and relaxing holiday with friends - the balconies, upper terrace, and the nearby Formentor road, make it less suitable for younger children. The bay views from the house and the pool are some of the most beautiful in Puerto Pollença - and in less than a 3-minute walk you can be at the port or on the beautiful pine walk beach around the bay.

Once a small fishing village and Pollença's harbour, Puerto Pollensa is now a magnificent bay filled with yachts and fishing boats with a 1.5-mile seafront promenade. The views across the bay to rugged headlands are exceptionally beautiful. On the other side of the bay is the romantic pine walk - a pretty promenade sheltered by pine trees stretching round the horseshoe bay. It's one of the most beautiful places in Mallorca to take a stroll - starting east of the marina stretching towards the famous Illa D'Or Hotel. Villaparade have several exclusive apartments here in this very sought-after location, close to some lovely restaurants and three additional apartments overlooking the beach just a few yards west of the marina.
Puerto Pollensa is host to long sandy beaches that curve around the bay and are divided by breakwaters and so are ideal for children. There are also a number of small, natural, sand and pebble beaches to explore. The atmosphere in Puerto Pollensa is relaxed with no loud discos or nightclubs, but a fine variety of open-air cafés, restaurants, boutiques and shops.
Taste: There is a wide range of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, including several of the best fish restaurants on the island. Try the "rape a la marinera" (chunks of monkfish in a rich seafood sauce)
Drink: There are several English and Irish bars, in the pretty square mixing with designer cocktail bars and is the perfect place to soak up the friendly nightlife.
Weekly Market: Every Wednesday 08.00 to 13.00 selling fresh products and local delicacies as well as flowers and craft goods.

Supermarkets: Large Eroski (formerly Caprabo) at the entrance to the Port on the left opposite the petrol station open Mon-Sat 9am-10pm Sun 10am-2pm. There are a number of smaller supermarkets in the Port.
Formentor: Parallel to the Pine Walk is the Carretera-Formentor road which leads to the Formentor peninsula with its stunning beaches, lighthouse, and famous hotel. The mountain road has lots of hairpin bends but the views over Formentor bay from the 'mirador' lookout at the top are absolutely spectacular - and there's even a bus or boat from the Port if you don't want to use the car.
Villaparade first discovered the unspoilt Pollença region twenty years ago and fell in love with the wonderful countryside all around - from the dramatic mountains to the lush valleys. Since then we're very proud to have built up a collection of some of the finest holiday villas and apartments in and around the area. Our principle resorts are the historic medieval town of Pollença and the sheltered sandy bay of Puerto Pollensa which are detailed on the following pages.Other areas of the Pollenca region in which our villas are located are:
Cala San Vicente, another of the best-kept secrets in the North of Mallorca. It's a quiet and relaxed resort surrounded by mountains with pine-covered slopes that run down to the sea. The sparkling blue waters and the three sandy coves are very child-friendly. The spectacular countryside here is also ideal walking country, popular with ramblers and painters.
Bonaire is an exclusive residential area on the peninsula around the bay of Pollença towards Alcudia with a pretty marina called Puerto Cocodrilo and a lovely sandy beach called Mal Pas. Son Serra de Marina with its appealing marina and sandy beach is 8km from the larger resort of Ca'n Picafort which shares the same sweeping bay as Alcudia. Ca'n Picafort's lively but friendly and relaxed atmosphere is ideal for families and couples.
