Fenicia
About the home
The 1st floor apartment benefits from a shared swimming pool and sleeps up to 5 people (2 x double bedroom’s plus 1 x camp bed can be put up in the living room). It has 2 x bathrooms, one with a bath / shower, wash basin and WC and the other with a shower, wash basin and WC. The property has2 balconies, one south facing off the main bedroom which has the sun on it from around 11am for the whole day. The other balcony is off the living room and is north easterly facing, a great spot to enjoy your breakfast on a morning. The property has a fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons, it has everything you need should you wish to dine in the apartment. It also has a seperate utility room with washing machine. The lounge has 2x 3 seater sofa's, coffee table and a TV that receives the main UK channels as well as a DVD player. There is also a dining table with 6 chairs and an iPod docking station.
The apartment block is predominantly occupied by residents who live there throughout the year, many of whom have become close friends over the past 10 years and would be more than willing to point you in the right direction should you need to know anything about the local area.
For over 50 years, 4 generations of my family have been visiting Puerto Pollenca and we have spent some of the best times of our lives there. I believe it offers something for everyone, from families, to young and old couples as well as those who like a bit of nightlife (town centre - 10 min walk). It is perfect for those who enjoy being active with numerous walking routes as well as offering scuba diving, water skiing, kite surfing, tennis and golf amongst other activities. Alternatively if you just want to lie back and relax in the sun, the numerous beaches offer plenty of opportunity to unwind.... and maybe a cheeky sun downer cocktail or G&T on the Illa D'or terrace at the end of a hard days tanning!!
I will do my best to accommodate any flexibility required in terms of dates. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions whatsoever, pre or post booking.

Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic islands set in the Mediterranean sea. With wonderful sandy beaches, country and mountain scenery. Mallorca is rich in culture and life. It has many small villages to visit with narrow streets and rustic traditional houses amazing churches and interesting plazas and places to eat. Palma the capital is a town on the sea with an incredible cathedral, churches, art galleries and interesting architecture. Good for shopping and nightlife. Mallorcans like to party and they celebrate many festivals throughout the year which can be enjoyed by locals and tourists. Mallorca is being increasingly popular with, cyclists, walkers, birdwatchers because of the diverse and interesting scenery. It is also known for it's beautiful beaches and is popular with all kinds of water sports enthusiasts from swimmers, Divers, Water skiers and Kite surfers.
The Puerto Pollensa / Gommar area
Puerto de Pollenca was originally a fishing village now it attracts the visitor that appreciates it's charming bay and sandy beaches. The dramatic mountain scenery and the abundance of greenery, with lots of pine and palm trees, creates such beautiful scenery. The seafront walk past the yacht club and marina and along the elegant pine walk is wonderful. Pollenca and Puerto de Pollenca have great quality restaurants and there are many to choose from (personal favourites are Can Cuarassa, The Ivy Garden, Little Italy, Stay).
There is a Wednesday market in the main square where you can buy local produce. There are also numerous boutique style shops in the port offering things such as home furnishings, paintings, clothes etc. The old town of Pollenca has a Sunday market which is full of atmosphere and an ideal opportunity to sit at a cafe bar and watch the passers by. For those that like to explore there are the Calvario steps and the Puig Marie to climb. Pollenca has a classical music festival July and August were acclaimed musicians appear. The neighbouring beaches of Cala St Vicente and Formentor are well worth visiting and are easily reached by taxi (Cala St Vicente - 15 mins) or ferry (Formentor - 30 mins ferry or taxi).
Whilst the area is ideally suited for couples and families, it also offers some enjoyable nightlife concentrated around the main square with lots of bars and a small nightclub (Chivas).

The appartment was very clean, well situated and very relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would certainly revisit. Couldn't be happier with what effectively is always a gamble when selecting places to stay and the lady who looks after the appartment was of conserable help. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fenicia. The apartment was clean and well furnished and had the all important air conditioning. There's a supermarket and a couple of bars/restaurants within walking distance and the apartments have their own car park, which is vey handy. Our boys (12 and 17) enjoyed taking a dip in the pool and the freeview TV. We would definitely stay again. |
