About the home

Villa Tanya is a modern recent build on a large site located in the quiet residential area of Guataca. Landscaped gardens enjoy both sea and mountain views from the upper terrace. Spacious al fresco dining area with built-in BBQ. The pool area is to the rear of the villa at a lower level which is both very private and secure. The heated pool (during winter months) can be entered from the upper terrace of the villa via a lockable gate and spacious, with a shaded pergola, surrounding sunbathing area with pool side show.

Entering the villa to a large open plan lounge with Free WI-FI, satellite TV, DVD and stereo, this room also comprises of a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar area. Close by is the 'Biosfera' shopping centre. Taxis, buses are inexpensive and abundant. New international golf course is 3 minutes drive from villa Tanya (now open). Villa Tanya is located in the centre of Puerto del Carmen with short walk to the beach, popular old town and harbour.

Sleeps 6 (3 Bedrooms) Master bedroom has a large double bed with en-suite.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 have twin beds, ample wardrobe space, lockers, large mirrors and ceiling fans. The en-suite comprises of bath with shower, shower enclosure, bidet, toilet, large mirror and double hand basin.
Main bathroom has similar facilities. Both are tiled from ceiling to floor well lit. Large open plan living area with 6 seater suite coffee table, flat screen TV, with satellite system, Free WI-FI, DVD player and portable stereo. The Kitchen is well equipped with all mod cons. Off the Kitchen is a Utility Room with Washing Machine and Hang out area. Travel cot and high chair provided free of charge

£The villa boasts spacious landscape gardens which lead to the private heated pool (winter months) and shaded pergola with surrounding sunbathing area along with pool side shower. The terrace area has a shaded pergola with a large dining table, six chairs and built-in BBQ for all to enjoy, whilst taking in mountain and sea views! The top terrace is an ideal setting for sunny breakfasts and drinks at sundown, it is separated from the pool terrace by a lockable gate which was fitted with small hcildren in mind. Villa Tanya is suitable for children being located in a very private and quiet residential area.

Conditions

Bookings are from 2pm on day of arrival to 10am on day of departure. Changeover day is Thursday, depending on availability and time of year, there can be flexibility on this.
No smoking exempt in outdoor areas.
VILLA TANYA is managed by a resident Property Management Company who will be on hand to answer any queries you may have or provide any necessary assistance.
Fri,Sat and Sun arrivals are visited by the management company on Monday 10am-12 Noon approx.
Mon - thurs arrivals will be visited on the morning after you arrive. 10am-12 Noon approx.

The Lanzarote region

The island enjoys a unique Volcanic Landscape, contrasted with its beautiful white sandy beaches and warm crystal waters.

Set 60 miles off the African coast, the island experiences long hot summers and short sunny winters.

There are no rainy seasons, the norm being about 10 wet days per year.

Lanzarote has escaped the wild excesses of the Holiday market and mainly appeals to families and couples who prefer a relaxed happy and untroubled holiday all year round.

Friendly restaurants of all types to suit all pockets, are found in abundance all around the island, our favourites being in the traffic free, old harbour area of Puerto del Carmen.

"Lanzarote Golf" is an attractive new 18 hole golf course on the Island of Lanzarote, a tourist destination which you can reach from all main European cities through its international airport. It is situated only 5 minutes drive from Villa Tanya .

The Sea beds on island are among the best in the world for diving thanks to the uniqueness of the volcanic sea floor and transparency of the water. The best diving seasons are summer and autumn when the water is crystal clear with visibility reaching 40m.

Finally, The Canary Islands are considered the Hawaii of the Atlantic and many of the best breakers can be found around the island of Lanzarote. The best surfing season here is the winter, from November to the end of March when the waves reach 1.5 to 4 metres high.

The Puerto del Carmen / Central Puerto del Carmen area

A vist to the Fire Mountains is a must, followed by a trip round some of the Cesar Manrique attractions, which are all constructed in harmony with the landscape, utilising the natural shapes.

Papagayo Beaches are another area not to be missed, along with the Sunday Market in the ancient capital of Teguise and the chic sports marina of Puerto Calero with its catmaran and submarine excursions and its wealth of bars and restaurants. This is one of our Friday night favourites.

Within 10 minutes, walk from Villa Tanya you can visit the excellent Shopping Mall, Biosfera with stacks of shops, cafes and bars, a world class sports centre with a multitude of sports catered for and 15 minutes away, Lanzarote's newest attraction, the new golf course, situated directly to Lanzarotes newest and modern clinic/hospital.

The Waterpark in nearby Costa Teguise is a favourite with the kids both young and old !

If partying is your thing, then the main Puerto del Carmen Fiesta of the year is in the first two weeks of August when the old town area bursts to life with music and dancing into the wee small hours.

And of course February is Carnaval month on the island.

There are always local taxis available upon arrival at the airport - fare should be no more than 20 euros to the villa.

Arrecife airport 8km. A car is not required within the resort, the island has an excellent road network and reasonable car hire is available for those wishing to visit places of interest in and around the island, you will find many car hire companies in arrivals at Arrecife Airport if required.

“A very comfortable villa” A very accurate description of the villa, it was very clean on arrival, well kept and ticked all the boxes. The girls loved the swimming pool which was essential as weather very hot (for us anyway), the surrounding area is residential as well as other holiday villas, we were there for 2 weeks, only one night a bit noisey due to some late night partying nearby. Supermarkets are within reasonable walking distance. The beach and restuarants and also shops about ten minutes walk away. Walking back is uphill though, there are plenty of taxies about which are quite cheap. The girls appreciated the Wifi but it was a bit slow. The tour of the island was well worth doing as it was our first visit to Lanzarote

“amazing” loved it so much cried when i left didnt want to leave ,cant wait to go back soon beautifully decorated so much room big villa everything in there for your needs and then some loved cooking chickens on bbq area .. pool was lovely sun trap ,, weather was 38-50c great week .. loads storage space .. sat out on night on terrace ..utilities was great . highly recommend this villa to anyone .. i cant wait to go back has i say cried when i had to leave the villa and lanzarote .. thankyou so much tanya for a fantastic holiday .. you ve been so helpful from the start and so pleased i booked with you i would have missed out on a lovely villa .. just got back and already wanting to save to come again brilliant price for the accomadation if it stays the same i ll be back .. bliss many thanks jules & family ... 5 star xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx recommended to loads of people already
