Villa Frances is located just a few kilometres from the airport and just a 2 minute walk from the lovely beaches of Puerto de Carmen. Enjoy a glass of sangria on the balcony whilst admiring the beautiful sea views, or have a refreshing dip in the private heated pool. The private patio area complete with barbecue and cactus garden is perfect for al fresco dining!
As the Villa is detached and the gardens surrounded by walls, you can relax and enjoy maximum privacy. Compared to the heat outside, the interior is surprisingly cool. But whenever the temperature rises, the upstairs, downstairs and outdoor showers are a refreshing alternative to the pool.
Lanzarote is the best island of the Canaries with the longest recorded sunshine hours. Puerto-del-Carmen - the island's favourite town - rests on the southern coast line with miles of sandy beaches, countless palms, open-air cafes, superb restaurants, bars, clubs, casinos, sports facilities, supermarkets and a great variety of interesting shops.

Getting off the usual tourist routes is an attractive alternative that Lanzarote offers. To get a different view of the Island, you can try trekking, volcanic caving, climbing or excursions in 4x4's. Explore the rugged terrain and the amazing lunar landscape of Lanzarote on foot or on an organised Jeep safari. The choice is yours!
The reasonable flight prices fluctuate throughout the year. You can take off from Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Manchester, Birmingham and other airports.
How to get there
ARRECIFE airport is only 6 miles from Puerto-del-Carmen, a 10-minute taxi ride to the Villa.
The reasonable flight prices fluctuate throughout the year. You can take off from Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, Manchester, Birmingham and other airports.
It's definitely worth hiring a car, which is inexpensive compared to Britain and Europe. I can order you a car at cost price and it will be ready for you at the airport or the Villa. Alternatively, you can wait until you get there to choose the right model and take advantage of the strong local competition.
Licensed taxis are cheaper than in this country and easily available. There are no minicabs in Lanzarote.
Local buses ride along the main beach road towards the capital Arrecife and other destinations. Special couch tours to all the sights can be arranged through travel agents.

Further details indoors: The clean and comfortable interior has high ceilings, Spanish floor tiles, traditional white walls and a wooden staircase. The windows are secured by ornamental iron grills and shutters. Classical wall-mounted lanterns light the rooms and hallways.
Two flights of stairs lead to the spacious open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. A breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the lounge. After a day on the beach, you can rest on the sofa or watch satellite TV or listen to music.
The dining area has a large table for all the family to enjoy the occasional home-cooked meals.
From the kitchen you enter a room - (with its own balcony) - containing washing machine, dishwasher and clothes line.
The second bathroom is reached from the lounge area.
Through the front door - beneath the balcony - you enter the hallway that leads to the bedrooms, a large bathroom and the staircase. To your left is the master bedroom with a double bed, bedside tables, and lamps, a dressing table, a large built-in wardrobe and a nice window to the pool and front garden.
Past the main bedroom are 2 more rooms with twin bedded rooms with similar furniture.
Further details outdoors: The wooden window frames, doors and balcony compliment the whitewashed exterior. The Villa stands quite a distance from the solid entrance gate that ensures complete privacy. The garden, pool and patio separate the Villa from the street. The garden continues at the side of the property to the rear. Comfortable sun-beds invite you to sunbathe or rest under the parasol.
The spacious front balcony gives you a view of the sea and - at certain times of the year - dolphins can be seen leaping in the air.
Many Guests start the day with breakfast on the balcony. The whole family sits round the table, under the bougainvillea that blossom 4 times a year. For those who cannot face the kitchen in the morning, English or continental breakfast is served down the road.
Evenings can be enjoyed on the quiet, private balcony with a glass of wine - overlooking the pool and illuminated garden.
The Villa has its very own heated salt water pool. To eliminate the harmful effects of excessive chlorine - so typical of most pools - I had mine converted to healthier salt water (with a much lower salt content than that of the sea).
My local Managers can adjust the temperature or switch the heating off completely. With children of all ages, the graduated shallow end is very popular. The deeper end is great for grown-ups and more competent swimmers.
The front garden - between the bougainvillea-covered entrance arch and guitar-shaped pool - consists of palms, tropical plants, volcanic sand, stone arrangements and idyllic night lighting. And a spotlight illuminates the pool!
The garden continues along the pool, past the Villa and into the rear with a variety of vegetation. For many sunshine hours, the shaded back garden - separated from the outside world by another wall - is the coolest space outdoors.
Further details
My all-inclusive prices - below inflated resort rates - are much lower than equivalent accommodation.
The price for the whole Villa includes a twice weekly Maid Service; cot hire is available on request. The going rate for the villas of this size and standard is almost double my charge, but as you are dealing directly with myself - the owner - there are no agent fees or hidden charges.
I employ local Maintenance Managers, who look after the house throughout the year.

Guestbook for Villa Frances
Dear Frances My wife and I have just returned from a two week winter break in your villa in Lanzarote. I feel that I must write and express our thanks for the excellent accommodation and facilities that your villa offers. The most pleasing aspect from my point of view was the location of the villa, particularly when sitting on the balcony overlooking the sea, one is not aware of the close proximity of the busy town and sea frontage, and was extremely restful after spending the day sightseeing. The villa itself is equipped with domestic appliances far greater than expected, particularly the washing machine and dishwasher. The swimming pool was a bonus and extremely well maintained, as was the cleanliness of the villa itself, with a regular change of towels and sheets, this together with the availability of your management staff, should any problems arise, provided all aspects of comfort required. During the dark evenings the 'in house' entertainment was available, with Sky TV, DVD, and video recorder, plus a music centre, together with a library of films and books. Again, after a busy day, a relaxing evening can be achieved together with the available supply of reasonably priced alcohol from the local supermarkets. Once again Frances, thank you for making your villa available, in fact before we finished our holiday, I telephoned you and booked a further two weeks next year, which I think speaks for itself in praise of your accommodation.
Dear Frances Just a short letter to thank you for another excellent two weeks spent in your villa in Lanzarote. The accommodation was of the usual standard, spotlessly clean and very well equipped, even with the addition of certain items I suggested following our visit in November. The pool was also clean and maintained during our visit to a high standard; an asset which we feel makes the villa even more attractive. The problem we find is on our return home, the lack of spectacular views which we became accustomed to when sitting on the balcony in the evening, watching the sun and sea in the distance. Julie visited on several occasions and was, as normal, more than helpful in all aspects, particularly when I discovered that one battery had been 'stolen' from a remote control! Once again, Frances, many thanks for an excellent holiday. We both look, forward to the next time.
Hello Frances I am sorry it has taken so long to contact you but I would just like to say what a wonderful holiday we had at villa Frances back in November. It was spotlessly clean and superbly located for everything yet far enough away from the main part of Camden. Once again, many thanks for a lovely holiday.
Hi Frances We have just returned from a week at Villa Frances in Lanzarote and would like to let you know that we had a wonderful time, When we reached the villa we could not believe how nice, spacious and homely it was. It was nice to be able to spend the afternoons lazing around the pool in such peaceful surroundings. We met Julie the one morning and she was really friendly, as were all the staff that we met. She asked if she could help in any way and whether there was anything we needed to know. We visited the volcanoes which were quite impressive and also went to the Sunday market at Teguise. We would have loved to have stopped in Lanzarote longer and I'm sure we will return in the very near future.
Hi Frances Just wanted to drop you a line to say what a fabulous holiday we have just returned from. Fantastic villa, you must be really proud to own such an incredible place. Look forward to returning in 2006! Many thanks
