Privately owned Apartment in the popular upmarket resort of Matagorda,Puerto Del Carmen,Lanzarote. This AIR CONDITIONED large studio apartment is situated on the prestigious Matagorda Bay Complex which has recently undergone a complete 2 Million Euro Renovation. The ground floor one bedroom studio apartment is just 5 minutes walk from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants in MATAGORDA, 3 km from PUERTO DEL CARMEN and a 5 minute drive from ARRECIFE AIRPORT.

Fully furnished stylish modern interior with west facing terrace,very private no facing buildings with sea/mountain views, LCD television with a wide range of FREE ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHANNELS INCLUDING BBC, ITV, RTE 1 &2, SKY NEWS AND EUROSPORT as well as free WI-FI INTERNET
. The studio also comes with a fully fitted recently extended kitchenette with a grill,a luxury bathroom with a walk in shower and extractor fan

This studio can sleep up to four guests with a king sized bed ,which is partitioned off by a curtain and a sofa bed that can be converted into two single beds or a second double bed. There is a travel cot,(no clothes provided ) free of charge suitable for children up to 3 years old.There is also 2 foldaway sun reclining chairs.

Further details outdoors:
Large sun terrace with awning & sea/mountain views. Grill (which must only be used on the steel trolly provided) suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

The complex features two solar heated swimming pools with extensive sunbathing terraces (free sun loungers) and also a sunset terrace with an orange tree. The complex has been recently featured on Channel 4's "A place in the Sun".

The Lanzarote region

Matagorda and its sister resort, Los Pocillos, lies just 3km from Lanzarote's large, bustling holiday town of Puerto del Carmen. It is also connected to the larger resort by a pleasant, long promenade walkway and cycle tracks. This means that visitors who opt for staying in the quieter environs of matagorda can easily access the lively entertainment and nightlife of Puerto del Carmen.

Matagorda has a gently sloping beach of fine, dark sand and is particularly popular for windsurfing. It boasts a central commercial shopping centre with a variety of restaurants, bars and two supermarkets. In general, the area is ideal for those seeking a peaceful, relaxing holiday without too many bright lights.

The Puerto del Carmen / Matagorda area

A wide variety of water sports can be enjoyed along the beach, especially windsurfing for which the area is a famed spot. Land sports facilities in the vicinity include tennis, squash, golf and horse riding. There are also several excursions on offer such as boat trips or visits to the dramatic Timanfaya National Park.
Most of Matagorda's restaurants are situated in the central commercial area around a square, where diners can browse the displayed menus before making their choice of cuisine for the evening. The choice is wide, ranging from Chinese, Japanese, Spanish & Mexican with the usual pizza and grill houses. Most visitors like that Matagorda lacks the presence of 'PR's' or touts trying to lure diners into their establishments. Those who want a more extended choice or livelier dining scene can explore the offerings of Puerto del Carmen.
