Watch the headlights of cars driving down the coast road of Fuerteventura at night, and see the magnificent dunes with sand blown from Africa during the day. Lago Verde is set in a quiet location, yet just a short walk to the beaches, shopping, fine dining and tourist attractions. On site heated pool, meticulously maintained.

Situated above Old Town Puerto del Carmen, a ten minute walk to the beaches. Nearby shopping and outstanding restaurants of every variety. Pick up nearby for tourist attractions, ie, Volcanoes National Park (Timanfaya), Mirador del Rio, Cesar Manrique Foundation, Teguise Sunday market, Jameos del Agua etc etc.
Lanzarote offers a wonderful vacation for old and young. Great weather, wonderful beaches, diverse ethnic dining, amazing topography, all in an island just 30 miles long. You can just sit and relax by the pool, or have an active vacation visiting the breathtaking sights this Volcanic Island has to offer. A car is optional depending how much you like walking. My husband and I never rent a car.

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote was recently adjudged to have the best weather in the world, according to a recent American study of 600 travel destinations. This clement climate is due to the island´s tropical location. Lying on the same southerly latitude as Florida and parts of Mexico – as well as in close proximity to mainland Africa – just off the coast of Morocco and the Sahara Desert. And in terms of relocation this is as far south as you can go and still, technically speaking, find yourself within Europe.

But despite the VIP guests and a thriving tourist industry Lanzarote has somehow managed to escape the over development that has buried parts of her bigger Canarian cousins, such as Gran Canaria and Tenerife, beneath a sea of concrete. In fact there are strict building controls in place on the island – limiting not just the size of any construction (no high rises, nothing taller than a Canarian palm) but also the scale of residential developments - which are primarily confined to the three main tourist resorts on the southern coast. Even the colour of houses on Lanzarote is tightly controlled – all buildings are painted white, with green shutters in the countryside (for farmers) and blue by the sea (for the fishermen).

Equally important, controlled development means that the vast bulk of the island remains pretty much as Mother Nature intended. That is to say, beautiful and unspoiled.

You’re also never far from a beach, as there are ninety-three of them, the vast majority natural and unspoiled. And as the island is relatively small (just 69km from end to end) you’re only ever ten minutes away from the coast. Most of the beaches are of the classic golden sand variety – as opposed to the black sand beaches that can be found on other Canary Islands. Some of them, such as the majestic 9km sweep of sand at Famara - and the picturesque coves of Papagayo - are real showstoppers. Ranked right up there amongst the best in Europe. And not a hotel in sight

Old Town Puerto del Carmen is a delightful fishing villiage. Although somewhat modernized, it has lost none of its charm. Plenty of restaurants catering to every taste.

"We had a wonderful, wonderful stay at your apartment. We have stayed in many villas and apartments over the years and we have to say yours was one of the most comfortable we have been in. It was great to have all the extras, especially in the kitchen as I like to cook and have found it a struggle without the right appliances in the past. You certainly have put a lot of thought into making it a great place for people to stay. The standard of cleanliness was excellent and the complex staff were brilliant, bringing towels and changing bedding regularly.
One thing that we are fussy about is a need for peace and quiet and we had plenty of that. In addition the weather was perfect and oh what a view!! I don't think you could ever get enough of it. Great apartment in a great location.
We will definitely be coming again and would highly recommend the apartment to others.

This was our third visit to lanzarote and Lago Verde, and I cannot think of a nicer apartment - the best we have stayed in. A VERY comfortable stay with great sea views and a really good base to discover the rest of the island. Great restaurants nearby and good complex facilities for a drink by the pool.
