The Lanzarote region
Lanzarote offers a year round warm and gentle climate. The island is named "Conejera" by the islanders and is also known as the island of 100 volcanoes. Lanzarote is the least mountainous of the Canary Islands. The average temperature is 24 degrees in summer and 17 degrees in January. The sun shines for many hours throughout the year and the wind is moderate and constant, which makes it an ideal location for sun worshippers and sailors and windsurfers alike.
Puerto del Carmen / Matagorda area
Matagorda Beach is now connected to the beach of Los Pocillos via a promenade and this beach in turn is connected to Puerto del Carmen. It is the newest beach and therefore has a wide range of modern accommodation of a high standard. There are numerous restaurants, bars and shops. The resort is perfect for those who want a relaxing break, but the bustling resort of Puerto del Carmen is just 5 minutes away.
