The Lanzarote region
Dramatic lunar scenery, beautiful beaches and one of the sunniest climates in the Canaries, Lanzarote is a volcanic Iland with fantastic all year round sun, lots of places of interest including Fire mountain, Cueva de los Verdes, Jameos del aqua, El Golfo to name but a few. There are also lots of sports on offer from Surfing to scuba diving.
Puerto del Carmen / Los Mojones area
The Old Town harbour with its fantastic fish restaurants is mins away, Puerto Calero is 5mins drive and has great restaurants on the habour side, and we highly recommend an outing on the yellow submarine its a great experience for adults and children alike. Scuba diving of the small Fariones beach which is 10 min walk away is one of the best dive spots in Europe.
Good scuba diving, paragliding, waterskiing, jetskiing, deep sea game fishing, windsurfing, sailing, surfing, kitesurfing, can all be found on the Iland, if you perfer your sports on land then their is a lovely sports centre (Centro Deportivo Farriones) 10 mins walk away which has floodlit tennis, squash,fronton, gym and many classes to join. Other land sports avaliable are go-karting, horse and camel riding, and there are plenty of walks to explore.
