About the home

A completely renovated and refurbished delightful lodge in the tranquil Macher countryside with exclusive use of a private pool . The property has stunning sea and mountain views, yet is only 4 minutes drive from beautiful Puerto Calero with it’s marina and fine selection of restaurants, shops and small supermarket. Yachts/boats available to hire with or without skipper. Able to walk directly from the lodge into the countryside around. The close-by village of Tias has a British shop with a large selection of foods for those from Britain who may be missing food from home. Tias also has an excellent 18 hole golf course with excellent views from the café/restaurant.

Ideal for couples seeking a peaceful holiday, but within easy reach of all amenities, resorts, sandy beaches and the amazing Timanfaya volcanic park.

Spacious and tastefully decorated, the Casita has its own driveway with large pergola and ample parking space. Prices for hire car available on request. The accommodation which is floor tiled throughout comprises hallway from the front entrance with door into a large double bedroom with en suite wet room. The living room has two large sofas, satellite TV, DVD player with selection of DVDs /CD’s and a stocked bookcase. Large cupboard with extra hanging space and storage. There is also another separate shower room and loo. Door to terrace and entrance into Kitchen-dining room with hob, washing machine, large fridge-freezer plus second smaller fridge and microwave. Wrought iron and glass dining table with wrought iron and wicker chairs. Glass panelled dresser. French doors lead from the kitchen-dining room to the raised south facing tiled terrace which is half covered by a fixed wooden pergola with patio furniture and sun loungers. Outside airer for drying washing.

Beautiful totally private solar heated lagoon style pool 8m x 4.5m - tiled surround, with palm trees, bushes and flowers and an outdoor shower .



Bed linen and towels are provided. Towels are changed during the week the bed linen once a week.



This is a unique property in one of the loveliest areas of Lanzarote.

Spacious and tastefully decorated, the Casita has a large double bedroom, hall way, en-suite shower room, kitchen and living room with TV, etc. The kitchen contains a hob, mini oven, fridge and microwave. French doors lead from the living room and bedroom to the raised south facing terrace.
A maid visits weekly to clean.

Further details outdoors:
The south facing terrace is comfortable and comes furnished with sun loungers and patio furniture. Guests have use of the private lagoon style pool.

Situated just off the west coast of Africa, the island of Lanzarote is a beautiful backdrop for a romantic getaway.

Sun sea and sand await you here as well as stunning landscapes created by thousands of years of natural sculpting of the volcanic islands. The local national parks are a sight not to be missed and the local wine is also well worth a taste!

The Puerto del Carmen / Macher area

Macher offers a quiet and peaceful holiday destination in a private situation. There are a number of shops and restaurants to choose from and the sea views are wonderful.
Macher is a small rural community and within easy distance from the airport.

Also within easy travelling distance is the marina of Puerto Calero where there are a good selection of up market tapas bars, restaurants and shops. Puerto Calero is very chic and well worth a visit.

Hang gliding is also available locally.

“A perfect place for two.” We stayed 10 night in Casita Matrese. The place is very quiet, private and clean. The house is 5 km from Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero. There is a large supermarket close by. A car is needed. If you are looking for a nice place to stay as a couple (or friends) we highly recommend Casita Matrese. Malcolm will give you a warm welcome.
