About the home

The property is located two to three minutes walk from the main beaches (and other smaller quieter beaches along the front). Set back within private gardens and a large spotless heated outdoor swimming at the hotel opposite is available for use all year around. The Balcony is south facing and enjoys the sun most of the day with amazing views, look out for dolphin and whales.

The apartment has a private sun balcony with furniture (wonderful sea views) double doors leading on it. Two single beds that can be pushed together to make the same size as a Super King Size bed if required and a double sofa with coffee table. Large pine double wardrobe, 22" Hi Def LCD TV-DVD COMBO with Stereo CD / Radio player. The kitchen is brand newly fitted with solid granite worktops, all you will need including large fridge / microwave / hob / toaster and kettle. A modern private walk in shower room / WC / Basin fully tiled area with traditional flooring throughout and full ELECTRIC water heating (not many places offer this, others use gas bottles). The Hotel Plaza Azul Next just up the road offers laundry facilities including drying or there are other shops nearby that offer these services at low cost (by the bag full).

The price includes all cleaning and laundry costs with no hidden charges. This apartment offers one of the Highest standard, best value options around compared to other properties on the Island. Check out our compliment book in the apartment.

Further details outdoors:
Private gardens with sun loungers. Pool opposite as mentioned above, a fantastic place to eat and relax. The exterior is kept to very high standards and wild flowers / cacti grow all over. There is a spot around the corner where you can lay in the sun and look at the sea in private (owned by apartment). It is a very quiet privately owned complex with a chilled out vibe.

Shops and car hire nearby, a larger supermarket a stone throw away with the best prices in Puerto Del Carmen. There are mountains to the rear that are great for walking and hold fantastic views of the island. This apartment is set back away from noisy bars / clubs making it an ideal location, yet still within short walking distance of everything as it is set up above the the main strip (believe me you do not want to be in a noisy area of Puerto Del Carmen). There is a NEW 18 holes all grass golf course that is within short walking distance and many other more attractions to suit anyone's taste details at the apartment for your perusal (I could go on and on). The apartment also has its own private parking space off road within owned grounds.

An English Gentleman named Paul who lives on the island manages the apartment for us, he will be at hand if you need to know anything during your stay. Paul will pick you up and drop you from the airport passing over the key to you. The cost of the transfers is no more than that of a taxi (at present 10 euro) and you will not have to queue waiting either - I will need to know your flight times to arrange this for you. You can of course opt out of this service but it is highly recommended.

We ask that if you are a smoker that you smoke outside on terrace as there will be a cleaning fee payable if smoking has been found to be done indoors. All breakages MUST be told of and paid for on a like for like basis (or you can in-turn replace them yourself (we do not take security deposits so please respect this rule as it is in the terms and conditions of booking.

The Lanzarote region

Holidays in Lanzarote aren't all about beaches. Granted, holidaymakers flock here to laze on the soft golden sands but there's more to this sun-drenched slice than just sunbathing.

Puerto Del Carmen is a beautiful island with many hidden pleasures. The weather is good all year around peaking in our summer but temperatures of 70 F plus in our British winter months.

The Puerto del Carmen / Central Puerto del Carmen area

Location
Nestled on the coast in the southern central part of the island, it is only a 10 minute drive from Arrecife Airport and is a convenient place from which to explore Lanzarote’s tourist and cultural attractions.

History and Development
Like many places in Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen was originally a small fishing village, and the old harbour is still a delightful place to visit, boasting some excellent seafood restaurants.

Beaches
If sun and sea are your thing, then the 6 kilometre stretch of golden beaches — washed by the waters of the Atlantic — should be enough to tempt you. All of the beaches fly the Blue Flag — awarded by the EEC — for cleanliness and lack of contamination.

“An ideally situated, comfortable base for exploring Lanzarote” This is a gem! Within sight of the sea, a few blocks back, it's quiet and feels secluded. A nice neat studio apartment with a balcony, for two of us it was ideal. The owner even arranged a pick-up from the airport for us! With none of the high-rise buildings that have spoilt other Canary Islands, Lanzarote is a unique experience. Go on a coach tour into the volcanic Timanfaya area, take a camel ride (maybe!) see Cesar Manriques architecture built into extinct volcanic bubbles and caves, or just stroll along the strip by the beach. Take a walk to the old town and get a boat trip along the coast. Buses are regular so a car isn't necessary.Shops and supermarkets are a few minutes away from the apartment. “A lovely apartment with a fantastic view, great position” We were both very happy staying here and will be back hopefully same time next year. For such a low price the apartment had everything we wanted and was very clean and tidy. The view from the balony is fantastic and really sells the place. A quiet position but very close to everything and only a three minute walk to beach. Thanks to Paul for the pickup and the help whilst we were there.
