About the home

Villa Davella is a lovely detached secluded villa with its own private heated swimming pool situated in its large well-tended colourful gardens. Quiet and peaceful but only 15 minutes from Arrecife airport and 10 minutes from the tourist resort and beaches of Puerto Del Carmen and Puerto Calero Marina. For supermarkets, restaurants and bars the village of Tias with its new Golf Course are also close by. We now have a large Eurospar supermarket 5 minutes drive from the villa

We now also have Free Internet WiFi available at the villa !

The swimming pool refurbished with a new liner and is now even more inviting! Along with new 5 star quality comfortable sunbeds to relax on!

We have also just fitted a new stainless steel built in Barbecue by the pool ( August 2012 )

Cat lovers will enjoy the company of a small female Siamese/Burmese cat called 'Marmite' who decided to make her home at the villa 12 years ago. Costs us a fortune in Felix food pouches and biscuits, but she loves the company of all the guests coming and going, and has become very popular with our regular guests and their children. She has been neutered and is cared for by our local English Vet.

All the beds in the villa are now by Bodyform and are very supportive with the best quality Flex Mattresses.

The large kitchen has a breakfast bar with granite worktops and is well equipped with fridge-freezer, oven and hob, kettle, toaster, microwave oven, Toshiba food processor, cooker hood, double sink and many utensils to prepare either a quick snack or gourmet meals!
The utility/drying area has washing machine, ironing board and iron.
There is a Bright open plan living and dining area with a Sony flat screen 32" LED TV . Sky satellite T.V. which includes ITV 1 & ITV1 + 1 Sky News & Channel 5 ( Also plenty of American and Spanish Channels as well)
+ DVD Player and CD Stereo System with MP3 Mini Stereo Jack Socket and also plays cassette tapes. ( Plenty of DVD's at the villa for you to watch - Films , Comedy, and Childrens programmes as well).

Free Wi Fi Internet access is also available

There is a safe in the master bedroom. Hairdryers are provided in both double bedded rooms and both rooms also have ceiling fans.

The villa enjoys a south facing terrace with patio furniture, sun beds and a new built in stainless steel barbecue.

We request guests to only smoke outside of the villa - ashtrays are provided.

Conditions

£100 non returnable deposit per week is required to confirm the booking of Villa Davella with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to the holiday.

CAR HIRE
You will probably need the use of a hire car which we can arrange at the competitive price of 120 euros per week for a mid-sized 4 door car with air-con. Usually an Opel Corsa or Hyundai i20 ( Which is more powerful - 1400 engine )
We Also have a 7 seater diesel Renault Dacia Logan for only 140 euros per week. ( Cheapest deal for a 7 seater on the island!!!! ).
When there are 5 or 6 guests, you need a 7 seater for all the luggage!!!
Although some guests have managed with the bus service close to the villa which goes to Tias and Puerto Del Carmen every 30 minutes past the hour 8 a.m. - 11 p.m ( Except Sundays )



Baby and Child seats can be provided at no extra charge.

The Lanzarote region

Together with its almost perfect year round climate and amazing volcanic scenery Lanzarote offers a wonderful holiday experience. There are over 89 beaches that extend over 54 kilometres. The island has been declared a Reserve of the Biosphere by Unesco.

The Puerto del Carmen / Macher area

Macher offers a quiet peaceful holiday in a private location but is close enough to Puerto del Carmen, about 5 km, for those wanting nightlife and golden beaches. The village is situated on the edge of the La Geria wine region and is classed as a rural area with a number of restaurants, a supermarket and lovely sea views. It is also easy to access many attractions on the island such as The Fire Mountain, Mirador, Rancho Texas, Guinate Tropical Park and Zoo and water park at Costa Teguise. There is also the Cactus Garden and caves.
A short drive away is the marina at Puerto Calero with its wide choice of excellent bars and restaurants. Fishing trips and submarine excursions can also be arranged.

“Spectacular Villa in quiet area with wonderful views” We thoroughly enjoyed our two week holiday, staying in this really spacious and well appointed "home from home" villa, which is extremely comfortable. The heated swimming pool is a real luxury and it was wonderful to have heaters for the first few chilly evenings (not often available in rented villas abroad) Also the affectionate company of "Marmite" (cat) completed the holiday experience. We hope to return next year with friends.

“excellent villa” From the time we booked David and Stella supplied us with plenty of information on resturants and places to visit. I can honestly say we have never rented a property where the owners were so thougtful and helpful as David & Stella. Villa Devella is a joy to stay at and as all the amenities you require with the heated swimming pool as a bonus. Marmite the cat is a lovely and intelligent and is always waiting at the door for your return we had a wonderful holiday and look forward to returning.

“Lovely Villa Davella & Star Marmite” Dec 8th - 15th December 2012 Excellent holiday spent at the villa Davella. Five minute drive to Puerto Del Carmen which has various restaurants and shops. The villa has a lovely pool area which is nice and private, well kept lovely gardens. Loads of parking space and garden area. Kitchen is well equiped with washing machine. Nice size main bedroom and its got a safe at no extra charge. Two bathrooms to choose from. Two further bedrooms so big enough for family. The owner Dave is so organised from the minute you book with loads of helpful tips. Not forgetting of course a mention of Marmite who is one of the most delightful cat you could hope to meet. she is no trouble at all just a joy and pleasure to have on your holiday. “Stunning views, and relaxing accommodation.” Villa Davella is well appointed, plenty of space inside, and a lovely pool outside with sunbeds, umbrellas and cushions on hand. There are beautiful views over the South coast and majestic volcanos to the North. The local supermarket is a two minute drive away, or some mornings we would stroll down to catch the early morning cool breeze. David arranged for our hire car which was reasonably priced and easy to pick up and drop off at the airport. Marmite, the cat was delightful company and no trouble at all. Gordon the gekko was there to greet us too when we got home from our evening meal. (on the wall by the outside light, naturally!) The town of Puerto del Carmen is a short ten minute drive away, and Macher is placed well for access to all other areas of the Island. If you haven't been to Lanzarote, you must go!! It's has a stunning Volcanic landscape, beautiful views and lovely warm weather all year round.

“One of our best holidays ever” After browsing the Internet for hours I finally found Villa davella everything about it sounded just perfect, even the villas full-time resident cat Marmite . Booking the villa was easy and Dave was very helpful he gave us lots of info before the holiday,car hire, flights , places of interest places to eat etc. On arrival at the villa we found it to be very clean and spacious and the bedrooms were light and airy and a well equipped kitchen with everything you need and the wifi was a bonus . The villa has wonderful sea views with the mountains to the back. The pool was a good size too, we were in there every day especially when th temperature reached 100 degrees. Being at the villa for a month Dave organised car hire for a good price we toured the island from top to bottom it's such a beautiful place. Marmite the cat was a pleasure to look after she was no trouble she is the most charming cat . Our holiday at Villa Davella was Our best holiday on lanzarote we have tried apartments and all inclusive holidays but Villa Davella beats them all it's so lovely and peaceful with it's own beautiful gardens this was our 4th visit to the island and will definatly return now that we've found our little bit of paradise.

“Excellent holiday villa in great location and really good vfm” On our arrival, Villa Davella was spotlessly clean and Marmite the villa cat was waiting to greet us. The standard of furnishing, decoration and facilities was excellent. With sea views to the front and mountain views to the rear of the villa, the scenery was great. The gardens are interesting; very different to what you find in Britain. The swimming pool is well maintained and is set in a large patio area. Dave & Stella, the owners, were very helpful sending us lots of information about the villa, local restaurants, shops and facilities. The location is very peaceful and Marmite is adorable, making the villa our home for the duration of our stay. We would highly recommend Villa Davella to anyone looking for a holiday villa on Lanzarote. It's close to Puerto del Carmen, a prime holiday spot with excellent beaches, restaurants and facilities.

“Ideally Situated and Quiet” Villa Davella is clean, light and spacious and has everything you need for a "Home from Home" holiday. Plus there is the resident and very friendly cat "Marmite" on hand to make you feel at home. The villa is situated in a quiet area only 5 minutes drive from the main resort of Puerto Del Carmen. There is an excellent Restaurant at the local Garden Centre and very good supermarket both within walking distance. Having stayed there on numerous occassions we find everyone associated with the villa (Owners, gardener, cleaner etc.) very helpful and friendly.

“Tick all the boxes” Spent a great relaxing winter break. Good location, away from main tourist haunts but close enough to everything to be handy by car. The villa ticked all the boxes and communication with owners was first class.

“This is the ideal holiday villa for young and old” We have stayed MANY times at villa Davella, and belive me we will stay many times more, we love it, its out of the way so very private but a short drive to lots of superb restaurants . The information book in the villa is a great guide to these and much much more, The garden and pool are very impressive, we have stayed just the two of us and we have taken our children and grand children who also love it, you can do as much or as little as you want, I would recomend villa davella to anyone who wants a great holiday!!

“Lovely peaceful villa in beautiful surroundings” This is a lovely spacious detached villa in pretty gardens with stunning views to the sea and countryside. The villa is very well equipped and welcoming for guests, and the outside areas and pool are immaculate and well cared for. Very peaceful. Highly recommended. We would definitely return.
