About the home

This stunning 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom villa is located just outside Puerto del Carmen and due to its elevation, commands the most spectacular views down the coastline and beyond to the beaches of Fuerteventura, as well as mountain views to the rear. The large solar and electrically heated swimming pool and huge terraces are designed to maximise the breathtaking views. Start off in style with the stone courtyard entrance, and as you enter the villa you are immediately struck by the massive airconditioned (charge) lounge flooded with light from the glass topped atrium and huge picture window with those wonderful views. Dine in style inside if it's a bit cool outside. Patio doors lead out to the terrace where you can enjoy a barbecue. The master airconditioned (charge) bedroom is ensuite with a large lovely stone feature bathroom and a dressing area. The villa has another double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both ensuite, in addition to a further twin bedroom and bathroom, as well as a fully fitted modern kitchen with a breakfast/dining area and utility room. There is satellite TV, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, games, and books. Keep in touch with your business or friends at home with free internet wireless connection.

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote lies approximately 95 Km off the west coast of Africa and 1100 Km south west of the Spanish peninsula, and is the most unusual of the Canarian Islands. This position ensures more days of sunshine and fewer days of rain than the other Canarian islands, and year round high temperatures. In the summer, temperatures can be in the 90's, although cooling breezes make it much more pleasant and comfortable in comparison to the Mediterranean , whilst temperature rarely fall below 70 in the winter- ideal for sunbathing and sport during the day and pleasant in the evenings for relaxing over a leisurely meal or drink at one of the many bars and restaurants.

The island has almost 300 volcanoes and is famous for its dramatic lunar landscape. Views of volcanic mountains, picon covered fields and rocky coastlines are broken up by a large number of beautiful golden sandy beaches and an amazing amount of well attended greenery and agriculture. Building work on the island is very tightly controlled and there is no high rise, with white washed villas predominating.

The Puerto del Carmen / Macher area

Macher is a quiet and peaceful Canarian village with a number of restaurants and a supermarket. Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote´s main tourist resort is just 10 mins drive away, and offers over 6 km. of golden sandy beaches from Playa Fariones to Playa Grande to Playa Matagorda. Due to the fantastic climate and clean waters all kind of sports are available year round: windsurfing, scuba diving, sport fishing. In addition to its beautiful coastline, a galore of shops and shopping centres, restaurants, bars and entertainment halls, offers all sorts of possibilities for good buys and leisure activities. At night Puerto del Carmen is the ideal place to go for a stroll along the promenade taking in the sights and sounds, carried on the balmy sea air. For the young and energetic this resort is a lively hotspot with a buzzing nightlife.

“Chilled” I stayed here for my 40th birthday, we had a great time, not exactly 5 star, towels tatty, jacuzzi in bathroom not working and intermittent hot water, swimming pool freezing even though it was meant to be heated. Lovely, spacious house, not overlooked - 2 restaurants within walking distance. Supermarket at end of road, short walk. They hae their own driver who you call and he picks you up, cost of local taxi fare, car hire preferred. Large kitchen, lovely living room, just needs updating a bit, few extra touches. Top floor of house just a play area for kids, or can be used for extra guests. Three bathrooms, five bedrooms. Fantastic view from swimming pool/terrace of sea and Fuerteventura. I came away chilled, sunburnt and happy . The owner met us at the airport and we followed him to the property and he showed us how to use everything and where everything was, lovely man. Good air conditioning.

“Great stay - thank you” We stayed here with my parents, my girlfriend and daughter (8 months) and loved it. The villa is very homely and has great views and a nice pool. Supermarket just down the road and good restaraunts around. Great place for making trips around the spectacular island. We really liked staying here and would come again. Thanks again!

“Fabulous villa, fabulous holiday!” An excellently located villa just 10 minutes from the airport with excellent sea front views. We had a delightful week in Macher . The Villa is everything it says it will be and more. Comfort, design and excellent attention to detail with no fuss. When we arrived, Peter provided us with information regarding local suppliers made our transition to holiday smooth, swift and effortless. We spent a magical first evening eating tapas at the local bar on their recommendation. Walking and exploring in Lanzarote is a joy and the villa provides a perfect retreat to return to or to enjoy all day on those occasions when one doesn't want to do anything except soak up the sun, dip in the pool and have a barbecue later on. Ideal for families . Owners very easy to deal with. We can highly recommend Las Vinas.

We had a great time last November celebrating our birthdays. We have a fantastic picture of Ellie next to the pool (attached) which we love.

The villa was very comfortable and we felt very at home (and managed to brush up on our ping pong skills). We are always thinking of coming back to Lanzarote.

DATE OF STAY – APRIL 2011

I was looking for somewhere to stay which was away from mainstream tourism. This property was exactly what I was looking for and our time there exceeded all expectations.
The owners have paid attention to every detail. The villa feels luxurious as soon as you enter it and is spotlessly clean. The views from the terrace are stunning with a feeling of privacy also.
Hiring the car is recommended to see the island.Take your walking boots!
Pedro advised on where the best places were to shop for food and wine, so we ate at home on most nights, the BBQ and the kitchen being very well equipped.
I would recommend this property to anyone wanting more than the usual package tourism experience of the Canaries. The owners make you feel welcome right from the first contact you make when booking. When I arrived I knew at once we had found somewhere special.

Villa Las Vinas is a lovely comfortable relaxing villa with beautiful unobstructed views . It benefits from having different areas outside where you can sit in shade or sunshine throughout the day. The outdoor barbeque is large with a good sheltered seating area alongside.
The villa is well maintained throughout and the managers are friendly and respond quickly and efficiently to any enquiries.
The setting is peaceful and the look out to sea towards the island of Fuerteventura to the south and the hills and volcanoes to the west.
We first visited Villa Las Vinas 4 years ago and were very happy to return this year and in fact have booked again for next.

The villa is very spacious with good cooking facilities if that is your choice, wonderful terrace overlooking the distant sea and above all is ideally situated in a village environment away from the usual bustle of a traditional holiday resort. The local Eurospar supermarket is very good and prices are reasonable and the fresh fish and meat is excellent.
If you wish to eat out Puerto Del Carmen is only a short drive away and has a great choice of restaurants to suit all tastes. The Island is very compact and nowhere seems an effort to get to. Must mention the Sunday market at Teguise, well worth the early morning rise. This was our first visit to Lanzarote and we enjoyed it immensely. We have no hesitation recommending this villa for anyone looking for complete relaxation. We will return!

fantastic villa, in such peacefull surroundings, a haven for a holiday away from all the hustle noise of the local resorts, nearby supermarket so you don't have to go too far away, a hire car is a must, excellent for all our family
