About the home

Casa Blanca is a spacious villa situated in the countryside of Macher but still close enough to all the major attractions that Lanzarote has to offer. This tremendously spacious villa offers tranquility, comfort and seclusion. The area surrounding the villas is safe, quiet and has panoramic views of the bay of Puerto del Carmen and the island of Fuerteventura. This is the perfect setting for people of all ages to relax and enjoy a holiday in the sun.

It has two bedrooms upstairs, both with en suites and one with a Jacuzzi bath. They both have patio doors which open onto a large sun terrace. Downstairs there are a further 4 twin rooms and two double rooms.

The large secluded gardens include:
** a shaded terrace with seating area;
** a large screened pool area with sunbathing facilities;
** built in BBQ;
** games room that features a bar, pool tables, fridge, table tennis, darts and a children's play area with play house, slide and sand pit .

Also available to hire are cars, a speed boat, a jetski and quad bikes.

The Lanzarote region

Lanzarote's climate ranges from mild to hot during the year. Temperatures in the summer are between 30 °C and 35 °C during the day while its winter daytime temperature is between 20 °C and 25 °C. As with the other Canary Islands, Lanzarote is volcanic in origin. Due to the eruptions during the 18th and 19th Centuries, many parts of Lanzarote appear to be from another world, often described as 'lunar' or 'Martian', so much so that parts of 'Planet of the Apes' were shot here.

The dry climate (and lack of erosion) means that the Volcanic Landscape appears much as it did just after the eruptions.

Amongst the many stunning Volcanic features of Lanzarote is the longest Volcanic Tunnel in the world, the Atlantida Tunnel, which is over 7 km long.

Despite the Volcanic nature of the island, Lanzarote has several beautiful white beaches such as at Playa Blanca and Papagayo. Lanzarote also has its very own volcanic nature reserve, known as Timanfaya.

The Puerto del Carmen / Macher area

Macher is not a purpose built tourist resort, but a very much a traditional Canarian town where you will always have the feeling of being an invited, but welcome guest, to another way of life. The village of Macher could never be described as being lively, and children or young teens would probably be hopelessly bored within 15 minutes of arriving here. It is peaceful and tranquil but the buzz and hubub of Puerto del Carmen is also a very short drive away.

===Puerto del Carmen====

This is the main tourist resort of Lanzarote with long beaches and exciting nightlife and restaurant strips. There are a number of diving schools and windsurfing centres in Puerto del Carmen, if you fancy taking up one of these exhilarating sports. If this isn't enough, swimming, cycling and running are also very popular, with various bike hire shops along the main beach promenade.

As befits such a mecca for tourists, there are a wealth of shopping opportunities available, whether you want to peruse the tourist offerings of the main Beach Avenue or fancy something a bit more upmarket in the new Biosfera shopping complex.
As the owners live in the same road they have quad bikes(including 2 kids 50cc), a 3 seater 1300cc jetski, a 7mtr speedboat with 5 litre inboard engine , with fishing rods, a banana for the kids and waterskis available extra

Macher is situated just 14km from Arrecife International Airport. Our villas are situated in the countryside of Macher, which is just outside the main resort of Puerto del Carmen and within easy access to all Lanzarote tourist attractions.

Making the journey west to Macher from the Arrecife International Airport is very straightforward. The owner can arrange for your collection from the airport, please enquire. You can also pre-arrange for the collection of a hire car from one of the numerous agencies based at the airport. Driving over to Macher should be fairly stressless for most drivers.

“A lovely rustic villa with loads of space” This villa was a lovely place to stay! It had lots of space and the master bedroom had a lovely bath room and a large balcony with great sea views. The other bedrooms were nice with pleasant linen and the other bath rooms were great! The kitchen is adequate, the oven was quite small and utensils were missing (tea spoons and cork screw missing) The dining area was great and a very nice out door seating area. The pool was a great size but sadly freezing! loads of sun lounges which was greats and having it separate from the main house is also great! The games room is a bit of a disappointment, the equipment is tired and, the fridge in there also isn't usable. Overall a great villa and would recommend it to any one, would just be so much better with a few hundred spent on it. Response: wish you had mentioned about the corkscrew and teaspoons while you were here . we have now replaced these items as they must have been "borrowed" by a previous guest
